"Ah.." You sighed happily as you finished another episode of Hetalia. You got up from the couch and started to gather your stuff for school. Grabbing your coat and bag, you made your way out the door and down the street.
The wind blew through your (h/c) hair making you shiver. You rounded the corner when the wind picked up harshly. You staggered, but managed to regain your balance fairly quickly. The sun seemed to be breaking through the clouds, mildly blinding you. A slap on the face made everything go tinted. You reached up to your face and pulled a piece of paper off that the wind had blown there. The paper was decorated as if it were the American Flag, slightly curious you raised the paper to your face in order to read the bold lettering printed on it.
INVITATION TO MY PARTY
Tonight at 764 Freedom Dr.
Will be hella lit dude
Bring drinks if necessary
Lasts all night long
Hosted by: Alfred F. Jones
......The rest of the text on the paper became irrelevant as your (e/c) eyes ran over the hosts name over and over. Alfred F. Jones? As in America from hetalia Alfred? No.... could it?
You contemplated before folding it carefully and shoving it in your jacket pocket. Looking around, you scanned the area, and it seemed as if you were alone. Taking a deep breath, you fastened your pace as you made your way to school in hopes your friend (f/n), who might have an explanation. They too were Hetalia obsessed like you.
A few more blocks and you reached the front gates where other students were pouring in. Stealing one last glace over your shoulder, you bolted past them to the building holding your friends locker.
You rushed in seeing (f/n) standing by their locker and jogged over.
"Hey (Y/N)." (f/n) greeted happily.
"Hey (f/n), look I need to show you something." You said frantically. (F/n) nodded with a worried look.
"Look, don't make fun of me for freaking out about this either. I was walking to school today and the wind blew this in my face." You said. You slid the patriotic looking paper from her pocket and started unfolding it.
(F/n) took the paper once it was unfolded and glanced over it. You watched as their eyes stopped exactly where it said the hosts name, just like you had.
(F/n) looked up and locked gazes with you, then glanced back at the paper. They folded it back up and handed it back to you, but didn't say anything.
"Well..?" You asked slowly.
"I mean I don't know what to say. They're fictional characters but that's a little bit more than a coincidence..." (F/N) trailed off. They looked at the ground in thought before springing back up with a suspicious smile on their face. You gulped, knowing that look.
"You should go." (F/n) finally said.
You started screaming internally before taking a deep breath.
"For starters, I've never been to a party, and second I don't know these people. I found this invitation in the wind. A complete stranger showing up would be awkward." You finished as you both started making their way to class.
(F/n) looked at you then away, in thought.
"Go anyway. It'll be your first party. Just scope it out and if nothing else, just go and return the invitation saying you found it. Then leave if it doesn't look interesting. Plus what if they are real." (F/n) wiggled their eyebrows so you rolled your eyes but still clung to the small sliver of hope.
