Opposites Attract // Klance

Chapter one : Lance

Note: Hello everyone! It's pretty obvious, but this is a Klance fic! None of the art is mine, but I hope to add my own art In future! This is my first Voltron fanfiction, so I hope you like!
( Mild swearing, probably going to be rated M in future chapters, I'll let you know so you can skip if you dont like! )

The beeping echoed around the room with the hum of the machines working. At the main console stood Allura, her brow furrowed in concentration as she powered the castle-ship.

Out of the five seats that surrounded her, only one was being used.

"Keith, It's late. We'll look more in the morning."

The red paladin simply frowned. 

"He's out there, we have to find him." he replied stubbornly. It had been almost a month since all of the Paladins had been into the abyss of space, and so far only one of the five paladins remained missing.

Lance.

"Please Keith, we're all exhausted, you need to rest." She pleaded. Keith let out a growl of frustration. 

"Another hour" He replied gruffly, his voice turning to a whimper. 

"Keith-" The princess was cut off as a violent beeping sounded, signifying something. 

A loud voice, an AI, read out - "Blue Lion Location Identified" it repeated, a map of what looked like a planet. It zoomed in, showing what looked to be a tiny island in the middle of the vast ocean that surrounded the planet.

Keith's eyes widened, and Allura looked back at him with a huge grin spreading on her face.

"Wake the other Paladins!" She cried excitedly.

It had turned out it would take a lot longer than originally expected to get to the planet, and Allura didn't want to use the wormholes in case they would corrupt again. 

"Alright Paladins, I'm sending Shiro and Keith to go on ahead and find Lance, as they have the fastest Lions." Allura spoke, her voice loud and clear.

Hunk looked angrily at her and Pidge pouted, crossing their arms over their chest and holding a scowl. Allura looked at them a little guiltily, but carried on.

"It's going to take a few days for us to reach the planet, but hopefully you two will be there in a matter of hours." She spoke directly to Shiro and Keith.

Shiro nodded firmly, his face not giving anything about his emotions away. Keith however, was a total mess. He was fiddling with his zipper on his jacket, tapping his feet, combing his hands through his hair, stuff like that.

"I've packed your bags, you have plenty of food. However it seems that this planet mostly consists of water, so i doubt you'll need any. We've packed extra supplies to account for Lance as well, plus extras, since we doubt he's had any good food for awhile."

The two nodded, heading to the front of the ship to pick up their bags. 

"We'll still be in contact, please check in every 3 hours." Corran spoke up, his voice high and pitchy.

Shiro said his goodbye's to the others, and made his way over to Allura to discuss plans.

Keith walked over to Pidge and Hunk. 

"Good luck Keith, find Lance for us okay?" Hunk said to Keith, his eyes glinting with seriousness.

"Yeah, and tell us right away when you do, okay?" Pidge said, their voice brisk, annoyance glinting in their eyes.
