1. the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.

The next day was tiring for Josh. He had been up late last night scrolling through Tumblr. The usual. And he just got sucked in, post after post after post after post. Basically how the majority of the internet works. You just lose track of time and end up staying there until like 3 or 4 in the morning. And bearing in mind he woke up at 6:30 in the morning.

"You look tired, are you okay Josh?" Tyler pulled him from his thoughts. He was currently sitting next to him at lunch and Josh was just trying to explain what Tyler had to do for their Art homework.

Before Josh could reply to Tyler's concerns his friends had to just come and sit down with them.

"Hey" Patrick smiled as he, Pete, Dean and Castiel pulled up a chair to sit around their table.

"Oh. Hey...guys" Josh smiled nervously looking at Tyler for some sort of comfort. He didn't want Tyler to hate his friends. He just really wanted him to be one of them.

"So, who's the lucky fella?" Dean innocently asked Josh once he had settled in his seat.

Josh just looked at Dean speechlessly, mouth agape knowing if he tried to speak it would come out as a mass of stuttering.

"Oh, were not," Tyler pointed between them "like...together, or anything."

Josh nodded his head rapidly as he blushed and turned his head away so Tyler wouldn't see.

"Ah. Well, it sure as hell didn't look like it either" Dean replied sassily. Castiel rolled his eyes and stomped on Deans foot harshly before looking up and giving a 'innocent smile' at everyone because they all knew what just happened by Deans face scrunching up in pain. He can be such a little shit.

"I mean, yeah, totally not together" Dean coughed through pain.

"Sooooo, I was kinda helping Tyler with homework..." Josh said clearing his throat expectingly.

"Oh yeah, that's fine we'll just stay quietly over here then" Pete smiled.

Josh glared at Pete before giving in, sighing "Fine".

After a few minutes of awkward silence Patrick decided to relief the tension. "So what's your name, kid?"

"Tyler" Patrick motioned for him to carry on "...Tyler Joseph."

At his last name Josh's head shot up and he almost tripped standing up so fast and quickly walking to the nearest bathroom. Because let's be honest, who runs anymore? Except active people.

He shoved opened the door the the bathroom and quickly shut himself in a stall and sat on the closed lid of the toilet. His head falling into his hands with his eyes scrunched.

Tyler. It was Tyler motherfucking Joseph. What. The. Fuck.

Why is Tyler here? What is he doing? Why is he coming back? Where did he go? Why hasn't he called? Or visited? Or messaged? And why does he seem okay with that? Why did I not think it was him before?

All these thoughts flew around Josh's head as his eyes slowly began to fill with tears.

"Josh..." came a gravely voice from outside his stall. He sighed he didn't want to speak to anyone right now. Now Tyler probably knows who he is too. So obviously they send Cas in here to try and clear the air.

"Josh, open the door" Cas knocked.

"I-i don't want to" Josh spoke through the sobs that racked throughout his body.

"Look, Josh, we've known each other for so long. You can tell me what's wrong buddy."

Josh eventually gave in and slowly unlocked the door and sat back upon the shut toilet seat. Cas was like his bestie, besides Pete, and all he wanted right now was comfort.

"Oh Josh..." Cas softly whispered as he took in his Josh's state. He quickly leaned down to give Josh a big bear hug.

"It's him Cas, it's Tyler, you know, the one that left me ten years ago" Josh sobbed into Cas' shoulder.

"Wait, really?" Cas pulled away slightly so he could face Josh.

"Yeah..." He whispered effortlessly.

Cas wiped the tears from his eyes and said "Do you want me to speak with him?"

"No, no it's okay" He knew that Cas wouldn't hurt Tyler but if Dean found out he would probably kick his ass and Josh didn't want that. He just wanted an explanation.

"Okie dokie" Cas smiled as he went to go wet a paper towel before bringing it back to josh so he could wash his face.

"Thanks, Cas" Josh smiled gratefully.

"It's no biggie, now come on, the God squad is gonna be wondering where we are."

Josh laughed softly, they were anything but the 'God squad'.

"Hey big guy, you feeling any better?" Pete asked eyes scanning Josh's face as he returned to the 'God squad'.

"Yeah" he looked towards Tyler's empty seat frowning slightly.

"Do you guys have any idea where Tyler ran off to?" Josh enquired.

"He left not long after you, saying he needed to go home or something he looked about as pale as you" Patrick frowned.

"Ahhhh, shit" Josh sighed as he slumped back in his seat.

He would most likely see him tomorrow in Art. But after all this bullshit. He can't help but think to himself that he was quite happy that Tyler was back. However, for the time being he shoved those thoughts to the back of his head and continued with the rest of his day.
