End Of Term

It was almost Christmas break, and it had been three weeks since Logan and I started officially dating. Everyone still looked at us when we walked by, not hand in hand of course, Professor Umbridge couldn't stand for that.

A lot had happened in the last part of the term, including Harry loosing his broomstick and not being able to play Quidditch for the rest of the year. Katie was not happy when that happened, as she had just been able to keep the team thanks to the toads 'no groups allowed' rule. She had to do a lot of sucking up to Professor Umbridge.

With no seeker for the rest of the year, Katie had no choice but to have another tryout. I trailed since Hermione, Ron and Harry wouldn't let up and now I'm Gryffindor seeker.

There was one week until I had to decide. Go home to my evil Mother or break her rules and go to Hermione's. I was worried that if I didn't go home, she'd come find me, but if I did, she'd find out about Logan, who she'd normally have liked, but he's a Muggleborn or what she would call a Mudblood.

I had already warned Draco that if he told Mum about Logan I'd make it hard for him to stay with us, but I don't think he took that threat seriously.

"Are you okay? You haven't said anything in a while," Logan says as we sit underneath a tree near the lake. The leaves were rustling ever so slightly, in a rhythmic tune so I must've blanked out for a while. "Oh, I'm just thinking...about home..."

"You really think she's this bad person?" Logan asks and I nod.

"Yes, I hate her, I hate everyone associated with that kind of stuff." I lean on Logan's shoulder, the warmth radiates through my body and I sigh.

"So am I coming to visit you during break? You said you'd think about it?" Logan ponders. I was going to let him if I stayed at Hermione's.

"Oh, yeah...no you can't. Mum hates Muggleborns, I don't want her to do anything bad to you," I say sadly. Logan wraps an arm around me and we sit in silence for a while. I guess I had just made my decision. I was going home for the holidays.

"Well I better go pack, don't want to leave it to the last minute," I say getting up. Logan does too and gives me a peck on the cheek. "I'll see you later," I say and start to make my way back around the lake and to the castle.

I didn't have to pack. I can pack in five minutes if I have too.

I had a DA meeting. I still kept this a secret from Logan because it was my thing. And also, no Slytherin's do it. I start towards the staircase looking to make sure no one is following me up to the second floor but Peeves comes along.

"Ta Ta! Strange as they can be, what are you hiding from me?" He sings in a high pitch voice. I stop as I let the stair case swing around and I look up to where Peeves is floating above me.

"I'm not hiding anything from you Peeves, are you hiding something from me?" I ask rolling my eyes. He had that mischievous grin like he was about to prank someone.

"Well I'm not, but I can't speak for others!" Peeves says before floating up even higher and then disappearing through a wall. I laugh lightly before getting off the staircase before it decides to move again.

I sneak around the corner where the room of requirement was and think about where I wanted to go as I pace back and forth in front of a blank wall. After a minute, the door to the room of requirement opens.

Everyone was there already, and Harry had started the lesson. We were doing Patronus Charms again, so I quickly go over and join Hermione and Ginny. Hermione had the Patronus charm easy now, and her otter was swimming around the room constantly.
