As soon as I pull my hand away I gasp at myself along with everyone else in the class. I put my hand over my mouth in disbelief of what I had just done.

"I'm so sorry," I whisper so quietly she probably didn't hear. A few Slytherin's sniffled quietly on their side of the room.

"Get. Out. Now." She says turning away and going back to her desk.

I gather my books in my bag and leave without a word and without looking at anyone.

I go straight to Professor McGonagall who's office was just down the hallway from our classroom. I knock and here a 'come in' and she looks at me as I enter. Harry was still sitting behind her desk, eating...a biscuit? I go and sit down next to Harry and Professor McGonagall looks at me over her glasses.

"Miss Lestrange, I've just been informed of what you did in Proffessor Umbridges class. What do you have to say?" She says it so calmly it scares me.

"I - uh, well -" I struggle to find the words. "She was yelling at Harry and I, and then, well...when Harry left he knocked my wand onto the floor and I was about to pick it up when she stepped on it and snapped it. I can't use it anymore!"

"So you slapped her?" McGonagall replies.

"Yes! I mean, no. Well yeah. I didn't really think about it. I was angry." I look up at Professor McGonagall.

"You need to seriously think about this Trista. You can't let a bad temper because of a stupid teacher get in your way. By doing this you have already made her that much more powerful. She has any reason to get you in much more trouble then detention next time you mess up."

"I have detention?" I whine.

"You most certainly do. You and Harry will report to Professor Umbridge every Tuesday night for the whole term."

I glance at Harry, who must have already been told this because he wasn't protesting.

"Okay, I guess I deserve it." I say and start to stand and walk out.

"Miss Lestrange," Proffessor McGonagall says.

"Yes?" I ask turning back around to face her.

"Take a biscuit with you."

"I can't believe you slapped her!" Harry says as we make our way up to the common room. Professor McGonagall had excused us for our next lesson to let us 'cool down.'

"I was angry!" I say laughing slightly. "I really shouldn't have though, now everyone's going to be looking at me like I'm some psycho again."

"I wouldn't care, I wish I saw it!" Harry says as we go through the portrait hole.

"Well, she is officially going to hate us now." I say sitting on my usual seat.

"That's for sure," Harry says shaking his head, still smiling at the thought of me slapping her.

"So, what are we going to do?" I ask turning to Harry.

"Well I guess we just be on our best behaviour and eventually she'll see we're not that bad and-"

"No, Harry," I say shake my head, "not about her, about not being able to do practical defensive magic!"
