Through the tears I spin around and look for who had killed my Dad. I was so upset and angry and I wanted revenge.
"Who was it?!" I scream at Fred and he points over to a masked death eater. I chase after him as Harry runs in the opposite direction after Bellatrix who was laughing hysterically. Fred runs beside me. I fire a curse at the death eaters back but all it does is knock his mask off. We continue pursuit through different doors, firing deadly spells and ducking from spells flying back at us. We manage to corner the boy in a room and when we turns with his hands up I take in who it is for the first time.
"Logan?" I ask and he smiles. "What are you doing?"
"Trista, you know I'm one of them..."
"But how can you deceive Voldemort, he hates Muggleborns."
"I'm not a Muggleborn, are you stupid?"
"Crucio!" I scream and Logan drops to the ground writhing in agony.
I stop almost instantly and slap my hand over my mouth. He stands back up, glaring at me.
"You can still come over to our side Trista, your Mum will help you get better. Help you to be able to... cope with seeing people in pain. Get over this weekness"
"What you might call a weekness, I call a strength. Because good will always beat evi-"
"Crucio!" Logan yells and Fred falls to the ground screaming. I look from Fred to Logan and back to Fred.
"Stop! Stop it!" I scream and Logan laughs. All use of my wand is suddenly forgotten as I run and punch Logan across the face, causing him to drop his wand and for the spell to break. I scoop up his wand as I hold my own pointing it at his chest.
Fred struggles but manages to stand next to me, swaying slightly. "Now piss off, before we can hurt you anymore," I say and put half of Logan's wand under my foot and pull it up so I snaps. "Here," I say and throw it at him.
"You bitch! I knew you weren't going to be convinced! But I tried, and I'll be praised for my efforts by the Dark Lord."
"Voldemort doesn't praise people who fail, you can pretend you aren't going to be punished," Fred says.
"Have fun with that," I say and Fred and I back out of the room and start to run. "Let's get out of here."
We don't stop running until we are back to the place we left the thestrals. The others are already waiting for us. "Where's Harry?" Hermione asks as we approach.
"He ran a different way after..." I start but fade away as my breathing becomes shallow and tears start to fall again.
"What happened Trista?" Luna asks and I turn away, feeling my shoulders shake and my lips quiver.
"Dad's..." and that was all I could say. The words just wouldn't form and even if they did the lump in my throat was swelling in size by the second and wouldn't have let any noise through.
"Sirius was killed by Logan," Fred says quietly. I fall to the ground and Ginny comes and bends down next to me, wrapping her arm around my waist. I was on all fours and trying to control my breathing.
"Trista, everything will be okay, we're here with you, it's okay..." Ginny whispered. I wanted to tell her it wasn't going to be okay, that I wasn't going to see my Dad again but instead I let her hold me tightly.
After an hour of not seeing Harry we seriously began to worry. Where was he? Had something happened to him? Some of us wanted to go in and find him, others said we shouldn't. Just as we were about to vote, Remus comes running towards us.
"Have you seen Harry?" Ginny quickly questions.
"Yes, he's with Dumbledore. A whole lot of stuff has happened and Dumbledore is going to bring him back to Hogwarts. You lot can go ahead now and meet him there."
"Thanks Professor Lupin," says Neville.
"Let's go," George says and we climb onto our threstals and take off.
I was numb the entire trip back, from the cold and the shock. I couldn't comprehend the thought of losing my Dad so soon after just finding him. I was actually going to have a proper family but now...
As we stumble into Dumbledore's office, we see Harry already seated on one of the many chairs that had been set out. I sit next to Harry and grab his hand. His glasses were cracked over his puffy, red eyes.
We sit and listen to Dumbledore. He talks about our stupidity, determination and bravery. I zone in and out of conversation, merely nodding my head to acknowledge I had heard.
"You should all go to bed, and try to get some rest," Dumbledore finishes. I glance at the others as they start to shuffle out of the room. Harry is guided out by Ron. I wait till everyone has left before I say the thought that had been swirling around in my mind for the last half an hour.
"Where will I go now?"
Dumbledore looks at me over his half moon glasses. "I think you already know."
I weakly nod, standing on two shaky legs and leaving. Fred was waiting for me outside.
"I know it's after hours, but we've already broken about a hundred rules. Do you think we could go for a walk?" I ask. He wraps his arm around my shoulders and leads the way.

Authors Note
I'm ducking from all the stuff flying in my direction. I am sorry for my absence.
This has been ridiculously long waiting.
I'll be doing one last chapter and then a bonus chapter of two years later, just to let you know what happens to Trista. And then I'll edit my mad spelling or grammar.
Thanks to anyone who happens to read this and hasn't actually removed it from your library.
Thanks a million.
