They love you too

James POV
Me and Lily have had an amazing weekend at her cabin and I couldn't have wished for a better Christmas break so far. We're going home today and then Lily is going to go to Marlene's while the other marauders stay at mine. It's New Year's Eve so we're having a big party at my house and then going back to Hogwarts, originally we wanted to go back early but we thought it would be nicer going back for the last time on the train with everyone else. It's weird to think this is the last time we'll be going back now.

"Lil are you ready" I ask as I sit on the bottom step with all our bags. "Yeah coming" she replies, her voice chiming through the house.
I here her footsteps behind me and I turn to greet her. Her eyes are watering as she sighs shakily and takes my hand, I pull her into my side and kiss her temple. "I'm going to miss this place" I here her whisper into my chest
"Are you sure you don't want to keep it" I ask again, I want to make sure she's positive after all she's already selling her family home. While petunia is the oldest and should have inherited it she didn't want anything more to do with Lily or the memories they had together there so she left it for Lily to sell.
She takes another deep breath and picks up the bag beside her "no it's okay we can go now" she announces.
"Alright" I smile weakly at her.
She takes my hand and we apperate back to my house, appearing at the bottom of the garden staring up at the house.

We left it until late to go home so it's almost already dark now. I look over to Lily as we walk up the path, her eyes are no longer watering while still slightly red and she's got the hint of a smile across her face.
As we reach the door she's positively beaming
"You've cheered up" I laugh lightly "well Iv missed them"  I smile down at her, I love that she feels so comfortable here now. "Come on then"

I open the door and leave our bags in the landing while Lily goes on ahead. "Sirius, Remus were back" she calls into the house. I can here voices coming from the front room but as they here Lily the talking stops and the sound of several pairs of feet echo through the walls. "PRGONGS" Sirius screeches as he appears in the door way and leaps towards we. "Hey padfoot im glad you've missed me" I laugh. "Remus" Lily grins pulling moony into a hug. "Been a quiet few days with out you son" my dad says placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah It was horrible" mum adds from beside him.

After we all exchange hello's and tell each other what we've been doing while we were away me and Lily go up to bed. "But prongs I haven't seen you in years" Sirius wines as I make my way up the stairs "I'll see you tomorrow padfoot im tired" I say as I reach my door.
"Agh" I groans as I close my door.

"Well someone's been missed" Lily laughs as she pulls her jumper over her head. I changed get get straight into bed.
"Oh please my mum looked like she was going to cry with happiness when she saw you" she smiles at the ground slightly , it must mean a lot to her to have them accept her so quickly.
"James your her son it was because of you" she says waking over to the bed and climbing in next to me. "They love you too" I whisper as she leans over to turn the lamp of and curls into my chest. "I know, Thankyou for taking car of me I couldn't  wish for a tee family to take my in" I rest my head on top of hers. "We'll always take care of you Lily"
