The story of James and Lily

Home for easter

James's POV
We're going home for Easter today so I spent most of this morning throwing the things I would need into my trunk, Lily shouted at me for leaving it till the last minute but I hardly needed anything anyway. In fact since all of her things from home are at my house now neither did she.

We're both stood outside the gryffindor common room waiting for everyone to come out.
Marlene being Marlene was of course the last one to be ready. "Geez Mar were going home for a week how can you need so much stuff" I laugh nudging her so she trips a little.
"I'm a girl we need a lot of stuff" she says defending her self as she looks ahead.
I roll my eyes and go to catch up with Sirius who's walking just in front.

Lily's POV
I pull my trunk along behind me as we make our way to the carriages. James is slightly ahead with Sirius.
Peter, frank, Alice and Mar behind them and me and Remus a couple paces behind all of them.
" i can't believe you're leaving me with them for a whole week" I sigh jokingly gesturing my head towards the boys walking up front.
James pushing Sirius in an attempt to make him fall and Sirius hitting him in the arm before fixing his now slightly messed up hair.
He smiles at the sight and laughs quietly to himself. "You'll be fine....well even if you're not it's only a week" I glare up at him.
" wow thanks" I laugh. "Besides I'm pretty sure I'll be there for a day or two"
"Oh good I might not go completely crazy then"

Once on the train we find the boys usual carriage, now pretty full with all of us in it and take our seats. James is by the window with me next to him, Remus to my right and Peter beside him. Frank and Alice are sat opposite us leaving Sirius and Mar next to each other beside them. When the snack cart came around we all got a number of different things and spread them out between us, the wrappers and empty cartons making good objects too throw at each other every so often.

Originally we were planing to stay at Hogwarts this break as James's mum and dad said they would be working and away for most of it, however, they sent James a letter a few weeks ago explaining that while they would still be working we may as well come home anyway and if we'd like to go away for a few days, somewhere of our choosing. It was a nice surprise as it meant we'd get to ride the train another time and it wouldn't mean leaving Hogwarts forever.

As I step down onto the platform, using James's hand for balance I quickly spot the happy smiling faces of Mr and Mrs Potter.
"Lily, boys over here" James mum waves.
We turn to say goodbye to everyone else before starting to walk over to them.

"Oh it's lovely to see you dear" Mrs Potter says as she pulls me into a hug. "You too" I smile.
James shakes his dad's hand as does Sirius and then we swapped.

Once we'd said our hello's we left kings cross and headed around the back for a quite and secluded place to apparate.
We soon landed in the peaceful comfort of the potters garden, facing the house. Christmas decorations down  and snow melted it did look very different although still extremely impressive.

"Did James ask you then?" Mrs potter questions as we enter the house, the boys splitting off to go upstairs and me following James's mum into the kitchen. "About moving in?" I ask slightly embarrassed, it's not that I'm uncomfortable in her presence at all but the subject of James always seems to make me blush, especially with his mum and when it's such a big step for us.
She smiles and nods.
"Yeah just the other day actually, I'm so grateful you're okay with it" I thank her truthfully, I owe so much to this family and I couldn't be happier to be invited into it. "Oh you don't have to thank us. We love having you hear and you certainly make James very happy. That's more thank we could ever home for" she smiles placing her hand on mine briefly.

After talking to Mrs Potter for a while I decide to head upstairs and find the boys. I walk into My room first, my trunk sat neatly at the end of the bed and all my things in the same places I left them at Christmas. I check myself in the mirror quickly, my hair is up in a messy bun and they're multiple curls that have escaped and are hanging down around my face. I brush a few of them away behind my ear and then open the door into James's room.

"so anyway we were in the astronomy tower" Sirius voice rings out, a wide grin set across his face. "Yeah" James says excitedly.
"She ripped the buttons off my shirt and I have her pressed up against the wall"
I stand silently leaning against the door frame waiting for them to notice me.
"Wait..wait who is she again" James asks shaking his head in confusion.
Sirius sighs. "Revenclaw in our year. Blond, you know absolutely massive..." and out of the comer of his eye he catches sight of me, straitening up immediately. "Oh hi lil"
James's grin also drops as he turns to look at me.
"And what were you two talking about may I ask" I say with a smirk walking over and sitting on the edge of James's bed.
"Nothing" Sirius mutters under his breath.
"Yeah sure" I laugh leaning back so I'm laying on my back facing the ceiling.

They went quiet for a few minutes but I could still here them making small sounds and there were subtle movements of the bed, indicating that Sirius was probably trying to mouth the rest of the story to James. Although from the actions he was making while I was listening to them he left little to the imagination and I pretty much got the gist of why he was so happy about this particular conquest.

A short while later and Mrs Potters voice echoes through the house. "BOYS, LILY DINNER" she calls.
I pull my self up and am followed closely by James and Sirius. "You're gross you know that" I say to Sirius as we defend the stairs
"How can you talk about it all in so much detail, I don't think iv ever heard anyone as descriptive as you. And next time you want to have you're discussing and actually pretty offensive discussions. Check who's around you first.....or better yet keep them to your self" I smile jokingly at Him and pat his cheek twice.
"Actually lilyflower I think you'll find I'm not the only one who's so des" I didn't get to hear the rest of his sentence as James put his hand over his mouth and pushed him forward of the last few steps.

I stop for only a moment to take it what just happened before shrugging and following them into the kitchen. "Ow he bit me" I hear James wine with the distinctive laugh of Sirius and then a loud crash.
7 more days....this might be a long week.
