I drop my bag down on the bed and sit down with a yawn rubbing my eyes and letting them close for a second. We were called back by Dumbledore the day after meeting with the source and although we wanted to continue looking for answers it had been days since we'd seen or talked to James's parents so we made no refusals. We have agreed that i will go to the hospital quickly and ask the doctors how Mrs. Potter is doing, bring James's dad back with me so that he can have a home-cooked meal for tonight and James and Sirius will meet with the order and we'll meet them there as soon as we can. "Lily, you ready?" James asks throwing open my door, i immediately open my eyes and force myself to wake up. "Yeah yeah I'm ready," i tell him picking up my coat and joining him at the door.

Sirius and i left Lily to go to the hospital to get my dad and went straight to the met the order, arriving to the news none of us ever wanted to hear and yet couldn't say was unexpected. we joined everyone in a crowded room far to small to accommodate us all and equally realized that something was quite clearly wrong. "Whats going on?" Sirius questions frowning over at me. "no idea" i mutter as Aberforth Dumbledore walks over to us. "James, Sirius" he welcomes us although not with much kindness. "Sir" i nod respectfully. "My brother will be wanting to speak to you, we have called back everyone that was out given recent events. We are re'thinking all of our future plans and" "I'm sorry...recent events?" i question stopping him. He looks confused and stares at both of us "surely someone told you.....Fabian and Gideon Pretwett have been killed".

According to Aberforth it had happened days ago and we were supposed to of been informed, they were attacked in their home and killed on sight and they suspected most likely only minutes apart, we were told that everyone had struggled with the new originally, these being the first order members that we lost, the first ones that may not have lost their lives if they weren't in the order, to begin with, but as we know we have to, everyone met, as usual, the next morning and used this loss as further encouragemt to end this war. Alice being a distant relative but relative none the less, struggled more than anyone and after talking to her and Frank we learned that the family had been informed and had a funeral just the other day. we gave our condolences and upon hearing a car pull up outside i left to go and inspect. it wasn't exactly a mode of transport many of us used and so i thought it best to check it out. Outside i saw a flash of red and lily paying a man before he drives off. "lil" i call walking down the steps to meet her, making footprints in the front covered groud. "James," she says whirling around suddenly, white flakes of snow settling in her hair as she shakes, her hands trembling as she stands on the pavement. "Me and Sirius, we've just gotten some news, something horrible has happened and" i stop myself as i approach her, noticing the red and bloodshot eyes, her skin blotchy and tear stained. "whats wrong?" i ask frowning at her. "James, something happened," she says choking back tears as she steps closer to me. "is it my mum?" she shakes her head at my question and looks down to her hands briefly. "it's your dad" i hold my breath, not wanting to know what shes about to tell me "he got sick while we were away and when i got to the hospital they said there was nothing they could do..i stayed with him but...he..he" she struglles and i already know what she's going to say, the information knocking me backwards and i stummble away from her shaking my head. "My dad's dead?" she nods and rushes over to me wrapping her arms around my neck tightly "Im so sorry" she whispers. i let myself rest on her and hold on at tight as i can, her small frame feeling like the only thing stopping me from slipping away into nothing.
