Dev Reddy.

I was sleeping peacefully when I felt a soft hand on my cheek. I slowly opened my eyes to look at a familiar face. Damn! Shilpa. What the hell is she doing here? "Shilpa? What are you doing here?" I questioned her. "What happened baby? You forgot everything? Uhm lemme remind you. Yesterday we both umm you know!" She said blushing.
Yesterday? What happened? I can't remember anything. We both slept together, ah!

"Ah I know yesterday we both slept together. But what the hell are you doing here? I already told you right if we sleep together the next morning you're gonna leave me? What the heck are you doing here, Shilpa?" I questioned her raising my voice a bit to which she gave me small smile and started to move closer to me. What the hell is she tryna do, eh?

"Baby, I just wanted to talk with you about our marriage. I know we made out before getting married but I guess it's okay. We'll clear everything, baby!" She said smiling like an idiot. She's an idiot. Damn, where am I stuck? I moved away from her and got down the bed. I took a deep breath and started speaking.

"Look Miss Shilpa! Firstly, don't address me with that baby. I seriously hate it. Secondly, I don't have any plans of marrying and settling down with one woman and if I do so too, you're not that one woman. So you can stop thinking or I'd rather say dreaming that we'll get married soon or whatsoever." I said in a cold dangerous voice with a blank face. "But-but baby we alr-" She started to speak but I cut her off. "Out! I said get the hell out of here!" I shouted on her. It was a mean act but now all that matters is to get rid of Shilpa and her so-called baby love.
She had a terrified look on her face. She immediately took her bag and rushed out of the room. Ah! I feel so relieved!

I laid on my bed and started to close my eyes when I received a call from my friend, Rohan which proved that my happiness of getting rid of Shilpa was short-lived. "Hey bro!" I answered the call. "Listen! Man you're Mom-Mom called me today asking about your whereabouts." He said trying hard not to laugh and I heard some giggles from behind. Mom, man!

"Uh, what did you say?" I asked a bit tensed. "Don't worry bro, I didn't inform her about Shilpa. I just said that you were tired with all the office work and were taking rest. Go call her right now." He answered to which I sighed in relief. Soon we hung up and I dialed my Mom's number. "Hello Mom?" I asked a bit irritated. "Dev! Why didn't you lift my call? How are you? How's everything? Ho-" As usual she started questioning me but I cut her off as I wasn't in a mood to listen or answer to them.

"Okay mom just cut this nonsense! I've already told you right not to call my friends and ask them about me? Then why do you have to do it always? Mom, I'm not a kid anymore! I can handle myself! Please stop calling my friends and asking them about my whereabouts. It's so damn embarrassing!" I said a bit rudely with irritation. Gosh why are all these mothers just so concerned about their kids?

"Ah what's embarrassing in that? I was just worried about my child. Okay anyways, listen you're coming back to our country." She said making me shocked and irritated. "No ways! Mom you know how much disinterest I've towards that country Still?" I questioned her. "Why? What's wrong with this place? Don't tell me you're talking about the culture or what?" She questioned back.

"No mom. You know when I think about tgat country, I remember her and living there is totally impossible! You get it? It's impossible! " I replied. "Okay you'll not return even if I say that you're Grandmom isn't feeling well and that doctors are saying she has very few days?" She questioned making more shocked and worried. Ah, Grandmom.

"Mom! What happened to her? Is she fine?" I questioned back. "Oh look who's speaking. I thought you never cared about your family and their feelings?" She questioned sarcastically. Complicated stuff, bro.
"Listen Mo-" I tried to speak but she cut me off. "You listen my son! If you're really worried about us come here and visit us. Prove me wrong. But if your past matters to you the most, then stay there! No one is forcing you. I just called to inform you about it." She said. I think she's right! Maybe I'm just sticking onto my past and having silly reasons for not visiting my motherland.

"Mom! Listen! I've got some work here. I'll complete that soon and come back to you. Take care of Grandmom!" I said after making a decision. "Really?" My Mom asked in an excited tone. "Yes! Pinky promise, Mom." I said. "Oh my god! Come soon, child. We're waiting for you to return!" She said in a happy and excited tone. I smiled and hung up. I thought I'd regret my decision but nah! I feel glad after making my Mom happy. Maybe it's time for me to return back.

I left to the washroom and got ready. After making sure that I was looking breathtakingly handsome in my formals I stepped out of my house.

I reached my office and went into my cabin. Immediately I started working so I can return back as soon as possible and check out on my Grandmom. When I was busy with my work, my best friend, Rahul Malhotra entered my cabin. "What happened? Why are you so damn excited?" I questioned as he entered and sat in front of me. "Oh my god, bro, you're leaving for your motherland soon?" He questioned. "Yeah." I answered continuing my work.

"Uhm wait! Bro think, what if aunty arranges your marriage when you move there?" He questioned which make me look at him with shock.
"What? You're crazy! Nothing of that sort is going to happen!" I answered more like convincing my own self and making sure that nothing is going to happen. "Hmm but we don't know about aunty. She may fix your marriage with a girl of her choice." He said excitedly.

"Oh boy! Why are you so excited and happy about my marriage?" I asked getting up from my seat. "Umm nothing much you see. I'm excited because the great Mr. Playboy, Mr. Dev Reddy is going to get married and happy because after you'll settle down all girls will fall for me!" He gave his nonsense silly reasons which made me burn with anger but soon laughed and started hitting him with the pillows that were neatly laid on a sofa.

"Ah! Stop it bro! What are you doing?" He said controlling his laugh. "Shut up you duffer! And listen you're coming with me and you'll even save me from this so-called marriage too!" I said hitting him more. "What? No way!" He said with a serious look. "What no way? You're coming and that's final!" I said and walked out of my cabin leaving a confused Rahul behind. Ah! Finally I'm leaving tomorrow!

I smiled a bit but her thoughts and my past started coming in between my happy thoughts and disturbed me. "Don't think about her! She's just a bloody witch! Don't ruin your trip and happiness." Rahul said standing beside me near the entrance of the office. "True that." I said drove away somewhere far where there won't be any sadness but only peace.

I just hope Mom doesn't have any wedding plans as Rahul said because if she does, then I'm so going to regret all of this.
