Aradhaya Kumar.
I was checking my costume sketches which were for a new horror film, in my room. I'm not really interested in these films so I choose not to design outfits for films. But I've got this strange obsession for horror genre from childhood. Horror films excite the living crap out of me and the best part is I never sleep while watching them as the background sounds never let me do so. Ah, I'm done with this. I'm so happy. Everything's just perfect as expected.
I thought to go and hang out with Rahul and Pragya as I was damn bored and jobless too. I walked out of my room after putting my files and stuff at their right places. I was almost half the way when I realised I forgot the damn phone of mine. I never left my mobile as it completes me and I love it. I've got this strange obsession for phones and cars too.
I headed towards my room and picked up my phone to check there were two missed calls from an unknown number. I called back and the person picked up the call after two-three rings. "Are you Aradhaya?" Asked the person. "Yeah. But who are you?" I questioned back confused. "Actually Dev has met with an accident. We've admitted him in the Oliver Hospital and we've checked his contacts to find your number was in the recent call list. So can you please come here?" He said. For a second everything stopped. Even my heart stopped beating. Damn no, nothing could happen to him.
"Ah-uh yes I'm coming." I replied. "Yeah by-the-way what relation do you have with him?" He questioned again. "I'm Mrs. Aradhaya Reddy" I said and hung up. Aradhaya Reddy! Sounds good.
I quickly rushed out of my room and headed towards the main door. I thought it would be better not to inform anyone until I don't confirm everything's in control. I made an excuse of urgent work and walked away. I quickly drove towards the hospital and went inside. I was informed that Dev was in room number 105. I quickly walked there.
As soon as I opened the door I saw a sight to which I didn't know to laugh, cry or bang my head to a wall and die. There, my great husband was shouting and moving like a kid and that too for avoiding a goddamn injection. His head had been wrapped in the cotton mesh. He had a sling which means he fractured his right hand. There were some injuries on his legs too which were now cleanly wrapped. I cleared my throat to grab their attention. Soon Dev along with the doctor, two nurses and a young man snapped their heads towards me.
I gave them a confused look to which everyone sighed in annoyance while Dev face palmed himself."Um, can I know what's going on?" I questioned awkwardly. "Ah Aradhaya your husband is acting all like a kid. He's so damn irritating. Please manage him." Said the young man whom I suppose has talked to me on phone. "But I asked you what had happened not what I should do now." I said in a cold tone.
"Aradhaya, respect! He helped me man." Dev said with authority which was just adding fuel to fire. "You just shut up!" I shouted pointing towards Dev. He closed his mouth with his hand. His innocence. The doctor and nurses were surprised but I don't care. All I was doing was looking at the young man. "I'll explain but first manage him." He said.
