After a while Sean decided to head downstairs. He sat on the couch and turned on the TV. Next thing Sean knew he was being shook awake gently. He woke up and his mother sat next to him smiling. "When did you come down here?" She asked softly giggling. "Around 4." He responded stretching. "Why did you come down here at 4? You should have been sleeping." "I woke up." She shook her head and kissed his forehead softly. "Well it's time to get ready for school."
Sean sat in his first hour looking out the window as the teacher talked away about things that didn't matter at the moment. Pulled from his thoughts the teacher called him out. "Sean." "Hm?" His face turned a slight red from embarrassment. "Are you paying attention?" Sean shook his head and sunk in his chair, quiet snickers filled the room and class started back up. This time he made an attempt to pay attention, but couldn't. His mind was everywhere except where it needed to be at the moment. Being lost in his thoughts once more the bell rang bringing him back. Sean packed up his stuff and went to his next class.
Today went by slower than yesterday. It felt as if the day just dragged on and on. Last hour finally was over and Sean started walking home. Asher snuck up behind him and grabbed him, making Sean scream. "Gotcha!" Asher laughed. Sean sighed and kept walking. "Are you doing anything today?" Asher asked after he had calmed down from his laughing fit. "Homework." Sean said with a small shrug. "Would you mind if I hung out with you? My parents are away for a couple hours and I hate being home alone." Asher asked hopefully, but not wanting to come off as pushy. "I guess you can." Sean replied with a shrug and walked inside.
Asher and Sean did their homework and sat up in Sean's room playing video games. Asher had just beat Sean once again when a soft knock was at his door. "Come in." He replied tossing his controller next to him in the bed. "It's time for dinner. Who is this?" His mother asked smiling at the brunette. "I'm Asher, Sean's friend." "Hello Asher I'm Sean's mother, but you can just call me Darcie or mom." "Okay, well I'll see you tomorrow Sean." Asher said getting up off of the bed. "You can stay for dinner if you would like." Asher gave a small nod and smiled at Sean before giving his mother a call.
After dinner Sean walked Asher home since it was getting dark out. "Thanks for dinner." Asher said nudging Sean with his arm. "No problem." Sean replied a small smile on his face. Sean and Asher arrived at Asher's house. They both said goodbye and Sean started walking back home.
Today was a pretty good day after all. Him and Asher are becoming better friends. They exchanged numbers, and during dinner he learned a lot about him. Asher's dad left when he was little. He has two sisters Astrid who was the youngest and Nikova who was the middle child. They were 9 and 13. Astrid looked like a female version of Asher, he said they look like their mother. Unlike Nikova who had strawberry blonde hair and ocean blue eyes like their father.
Sean arrived back home and went up to his room falling asleep. Hopefully tomorrow is just as good or better than today.
