Sean's alarm clock went off and he quickly turned it off rolling over. A soft knock was at his door and his mother walked in sitting on his bed. "Come on sweetie. You gotta get up." Sean groaned and sat up running his fingers through his messy black locks. His mother smiled her emerald green eyes shone bright. Sean couldn't help, but crack a small smile. Sean didn't know what he would do without his mom. It was just him and her. Sean's father died in a car accident when Sean was 12 that was 6 years ago. Since then it's just been him and his mom. His mother was a beautiful woman with black hair and emerald green eyes. Sean had been cursed with his father dark mysterious blue eyes. Sean was drawn from his thoughts when his mom rested her hand on his leg. "I made breakfast, so when you get down there it's at the table." She smiled again and kissed his forehead softly. Sean nodded and got out of bed and getting dressed. He quickly grabbed a baggy gray shirt and his black jeans throwing then on and fixed up his messy locks of black hair. Quickly going down the stairs he headed to the kitchen sitting down at the dining table and eating. Sean's mother could cook, she tried to make everything by scratch if she could. Always putting her own twist on her recipes. When Sean finished he grabbed his bag, hugged his mom goodbye and left.

When he arrived at the school what looked like hundreds of teens were flooding inside. Being pulled in a tide of students he was inside the school. Keeping his head low he swerved through students until he found his first class. Carefully slipping inside, the teacher directed Sean to his seat. 10 minutes later class started. The English teacher Mr.Ross introduced Sean to the class, Sean sank into his seat slightly doodling lightly in his notebook. After the introduction the class started, Mr.Ross talked the whole hour. Thankfully he had assigned nothing and they were sent off to their next classes. Each class had practically the same routine, they would make an introduction and then talk most of the time. This kept going until lunch, Sean stepped into the lunchroom teens filled the room. As if he were in a movie the certain cliques had their group of friends. Sean spotted an empty table in a far corner of the big room, moving quickly he made it to the table sitting down. He pulled out his notebook and started drawing again. The table shifted slightly and he looked up cautiously. Before him stood a tall lanky boy with light brown hair and piercing blue eyes. The boy smiled slightly and sat down. "I'm Asher," the boy  said looking at Sean who was sinking down slightly. "Uh Sean," He replied softly. "So you're new?" Sean nods. They were both silent the rest of lunch not knowing what to say. The bell rang and they both got up leaving. "Bye Sean," Asher said with a grin. "Bye." He replied and walked to his last hour.

The end of the day came faster that Sean thought it would. Next thing he knew he was being pulled with the crowd out the door. He kept walking until he felt someone grab his arm. Sean turned and there stood Asher. "Do you mind if I walk with you?" He asked. "Sure..." Sean began to walk again and Asher walked next to him. "So do you live close?" Asher said attempting to create a conversation. "Kind of I guess." Asher nodded and they walked to Sean's house. They both said goodbye and Sean walked inside. His mother was at work so he was home alone. Sometimes he liked being home alone, he loved the complete silence it was his escape. Sean walked up to his room and fell asleep. He had a dream about the night his father died. He still has these "dreams" to this day. I guess they're more like nightmares.

Sean's father was driving home from work. It was getting dark the sun was setting. He had a green light. Pushing the gas his father started going through the light when a car crashed right into the side of his car. A drunk driver had ran a red light and smashed his car and Sean's father's. A bystander called 911 and they were both rushed to the hospital. The drunk driver survived with a couple broken bones. Sean's father wasn't that lucky. The impact broke a couple ribs which punctured one of his lungs. Sean and his mother were at home waiting for his return. When he never showed up they began to worry. Sean's mother couldn't get a hold of him. Eventually they got a call. Sean gave his mom a hopeful look when she answered the phone. His expression changed quickly when he saw his mom's face drain from all color and tears welling in her eyes. "What's wrong mom?" She hung up and wiped her eyes. "Your father... Was in a car accident." "Is he okay?" Sean asked frantically. His mind racing a million miles a second. She didn't answer right away and that's when he caught on. Tears now welling in his eyes. "He broke a couple ribs which punctured one of his lungs." Now they were both crying. Sean tried to stay strong for his mother, but he couldn't. She pulled him into her arms tightly hugging him.

Sean woke up with a jolt sweat running down his forehead. He looked over at his clock it was 3 in the morning. He groaned and laid back. "It's going to be a long night." He whispered into the darkness. He kept trying to go back to sleep, but it was a fail. He sat up again and rubbed his eyes, he needed something new to think about. Sean's mind slowly started to wander towards Asher. Although he didn't know much about him he wanted to. That's how the rest of Sean's night went, using anything he could to distract himself from his nightmare.
