Asher leans down and kisses Sean. Sean's eyes widened, but soon he melted into the kiss. When they finally pulled apart they were both blushing. "Sean will you be my boyfriend?" Sean nodded a giant smile  shown on his face. His eyes lit up with happiness. Asher smiled back and kissed him once more before getting up. Asher grabbed Sean's arm pulling him up.

Sean's day had gotten better. He was dating Asher. Sean's day flew by quickly. At lunch Sean and Asher sat together like they usually did. Under the table Asher held Sean's hand while Sean was sketching in his notebook. When lunch was over Asher walked Sean to his next hour. Asher walked to his next hour. Asher walked down the hall the bell had already rang, but he didn't care. Two guys were standing by a locker talking. Asher couldn't tell what they were saying until he was walking passed them. "Did you hear that Sean is gay?" "Yeah what a fag." Asher's blood boiled, but he didn't need to get into a fight right now.

Asher went to his class. After school Sean and Asher met up and started walking to Sean's house. The walk to Sean's was silent. Asher wanted to tell Sean that people were saying shit, but at the same time he didn't because he didn't want to see Sean get upset. Asher doesn't even know how long people have been saying that kind of stuff. Asher decided not to tell him. When they got to Sean's house he unlocked the door and went inside Asher behind him.

Later that night.

Asher sat at home playing videogames when his phone rang. He sat his controller down and picked it up. "Hello?" "You and your little boyfriend better watch out. Fags like you don't belong here." "Who is this?" The phone clicked and the call had ended. Asher looked at the number, he didn't recognize it. Asher bit his lip thinking about what he should do.

Three days later.

It had been three days since the call. Asher didn't tell Sean about it, he didn't want to worry him. Asher and Sean still haven't told anyone they're dating. When they arrived at school a couple people gave Asher and Sean weird looks. That caused Sean's stomach to drop with fear. What if they knew. What if we weren't being careful enough.

Sean looked at the ground to avoid the stares some were giving them. Asher didn't seem to notice, and if he did he was really good at ignoring it.
Sean bit his lip still staring at the ground intensively. Asher nudged him "What's wrong?". Sean just shook his head and walked into his classroom not saying anything more to Asher. Asher watched him and sighed walking to his class.

The weekend

Asher had started hearing more rumors about Sean and him. He doesn't mention it when he's around Sean. Sean never says anything so, Asher assumes that he hasn't noticed. I mean they are just rumors right? Asher thought.

Sean had a busy weekend he had to clean up the house. Sean's mom had invited over some neighbors for dinner. Sean sighed and cleaned up. His mother made dinner and Sean set the table.

There was a soft knock at the door Sean went to answer it. A man and a woman stood there. Sean greeted them and let them in. He took their coats. Sean's mother finished setting up the table. They all talked a little bit before eating. Sean finished and excused himself going up to his room. He picked up his phone texting Asher.

S: hey
A: hey. How'd the dinner go?
S: Eh. It was different.
A: How so?
S: I've never met them before and I haven't had a real dinner with another family.
A: Awe I'm sorry babe.
S: It's fine.

When night came and Sean's mother was asleep. Sean snuck out. Sean walked down the street. The street lights shining down on him as he walked. Sean walked all the way to the small park in town. Sean walked up to the small pond and looked down. His reflection shown bright under the moon. Sean laid down and put his hand in the water. Watching as his reflection rippled. It was calming to watch. Next thing he knew his eyes opened and it was daylight out.

Sean walked back home. When he opened the door his mother scrambled off the couch and hugged him tightly. "Where were you?" His mother ask worriedly. "I went for a walk." "I woke up this morning and you were gone. When did you leave."
"Early this morning I needed to go for a walk." "Are you okay was something wrong?" "No mom I just wanted to take a walk okay?" "Okay."

It was Sunday. Asher's mother was at work and he hadn't talked to Sean at all today. He decided to go see him. Asher got dressed and started heading to Sean's.

"Hey!" Someone called. Asher turned around. There stood Kevin, a smug look on his face. Asher rolled his eyes and kept walking. Asher heard quick footsteps behind him. He went to run, but the back of his shirt was grabbed, causing him to choke. Asher stopped, Kevin turned Asher around and grabbed him by his collar.

"What do you want?" Asher asked holding onto Kevin's arm. "You need to break up with Sean." "Why?" Asher asked trying to break away from Kevin's grasp. "Because he doesn't really love you Asher. He's been lying to you." Asher got out of Kevin's grasp. "The only one lying is you! Sean loves me." "Asher are you really going to let yourself believe that?"

Asher shoved Kevin back, causing Kevin to lose balance. Kevin grabbed Asher's arm making him fall on top of Kevin. Asher went to get up when Kevin grabbed the back of his neck pulling him forward and....
