Goodbyes

Monday morning.

Asher and Sean woke up early and got in the car driving to the airport​. Music was playing softly as Sean drove. Asher looked out the window. Sean pulled into the airport and parked helping Asher get his bags out of the trunk.

They walked inside the building. Hand in hand. Asher's flight was boarding he sighed a Shakey breath.

"I love you Sean. I'll try to get a hold of you everyday." Asher smiled and kissed Sean passionately.

"I love you too Asher. I'll be waiting." Sean replied and kissed him once more before letting Asher board his flight.

Sean watched as Asher walked away after he was gone he walked back to the car. Asher's hoodie sat on the passenger seat. Sean sighed and put it on before driving home. The drive home was long and boring. Sean found himself glancing over at the passenger seat every now and then hoping Asher were still sitting there.

Asher boarded the plane and sat down. A woman and a small boy sat next to him. She smiled at him warmly and he smiled back, but he was still upset. He wanted to go to this college so bad, but he wishes it wasn't so far away and or he could take Sean with him so the wouldn't have to be apart.

Next Day

Sean woke up at 8:30 am and checked his phone he had one text and one missed call. He quickly picked up his phone and read the text.

A: Hey I made it though the flight was long I made it here safe. I love you.

Then he listened to the voicemail.

'Hey Sean it's Asher sorry it's so early I know you're probably asleep, but I love you and call me when you get up.'

Sean smiled and called Asher. It rang twice before someone answered. "Hey babe." Sean said to the clearly tired Asher on the other end. He was just doing what he was told so he doesn't feel as bad.

"Hey babe. I hope you slept well. I miss you already." Asher said sleepily. "I miss you too. I would have slept better if you were here though. You should sleep you sound tired."  Sean laughed softly.

"I know, but your voice is the last thing I wanna hear before I pass out." Sean could feel the smirk on Asher's fave right now. "You're such a cheesy flirt. Go to sleep I'll talk to you later." Sean laughed.

"Okay fine. I'll call you again later. I love you." Asher replied more cheerfully. "Okay. I love you too." Asher hung up.

I smiled sadly and set my phone on my bed. I walked into the kitchen and ate breakfast before realizing what time it was and quickly got ready for work. Once ready I ran out the door and to the library.

I walk into the building quickly and make it with two minutes to spare. I start at the main desk and see what needs to be done. Someone walks up behind me and I turn around.

"How are you holding up?" Josh asked handing me a list of things I needed to get done by 3. "Pretty good so far." I replied looking at the list.

Josh just patted my shoulder and let me get to work. Three o'clock rolled around and I had finally finished up the list minus the couple books that just got out on the desk for re-shelving.

I did that real quick and got ready to leave. "Hey wait up." Josh said as I was walking towards the door. "Yeah?" I asked stopping in my tracks. "You doing anything?" Josh asked.

"Now? Probably just going home why?" I ask. "I was thinking we could get coffee or something." Josh said smiling. "Sure." I smile back and wait for him to grab his stuff.

We decide to walk to the coffee shop since it was nice outside. We walked into coffee shop and ordered our choice coffee. When it was finished we grabbed it and picked a seat.

Josh chose near the window. I agreed and we sat. He sat across from me sipping his coffee. Josh was the first to ignite a conversation.

"So how long is your boyfriend going to be gone for college?" He asks. "He said possibly 4 years or so, but he'd come home whenever he has the chance." I reply taking a drink slightly burning my tongue.

"How'd you two meet if you don't mind me asking?" "Our last year of Highschool. I moved here and he was my first and only friend." I replied smiling thinking back to the day. I wonder what attracted Asher to come talk to me that day. I'll have to ask him one day.

"Sean?" Josh asked laughing. "What? Sorry I was thinking." I say with embarrassment. "It's fine I asked if you were planning on going to college or not." He was still laughing.

"Nah. I hated school there's no way I'm going to college." My face red from the previous encounter.  Josh just laughed softly and finished his coffee. I had finished mine already so waited until he went to go throw away his cup to follow.

(Asher)

I hung up and laid back down on the bed quickly falling asleep. When I woke up again it was afternoon. I needed the sleep tomorrow morning I go to the college and get my classes.

I walked around town until a small diner caught my eye. I walked inside one or two other people were there at the moment eating and talking. I took a seat and looked at the menu.

A little bit later a tall brunette walked up to me. Their presents startled me at first, but when they talked their voice was deep and soothing calming like. "Hello my name is Lance what can I get you today?" Lance smiled his perfect white teeth showing.

"Uh, black coffee and an omelet please." I say my voice slightly Shakey. "Okay coming up." He replied to my order and left.

'What am I doing I have Sean waiting for my return whenever that may be I can't ruin our relationship. We've come so far.' I hadn't realized that my coffee had arrived until I was pulled from my thoughts by the strong smell.

I took a deep breath and started drinking my coffee. I needed to call Sean after this to straighten my mind from these thoughts. My food had finally arrived and I quickly ate it. I paid and left heading back to my hotel room.

I want to see Sean actually calling is just a voice I need the cute face to match. So I pulled out my computer and got on Skype calling Sean. It went through once with no answer. I waited a while when my computer started going off I answered it and there was Sean's cute face.

"Hey sorry I just got home. How's Boston?" Sean asked smiling. "Pretty nice so far a lot bigger than home."

"How was work?" I ask. "Pretty good it went by fast." He replied. "That's good."

We talked for a couple hours before his phone died. I checked the time it was getting late so I made dinner and went to bed. Tomorrow is gonna be a good day.

I woke up the next morning and headed to the college. When I entered the building a man greeted me and took me back to his office where he handed me a list of classrooms.

I thanked him after a long talk and walked to my classes to meet my professors.  They were really kind and I'm looking forward to their classes.

Forewarning next chapter is going to be a time skip to keep the story flowing. I know there are a lot of time skips but it keeps the story going so it doesn't get boring.
