New Job

The next day.

Sean was startled awake by his phone ringing. He sat up and answered it. "Hello?" He responded his voice raspy from sleep. "Hey babe. You doing anything today?" Asher asks on the other line.

"Actually I got a job so I'm working till three. I can meet you somewhere when I get out if you want?" "Oh that's cool yeah that'll be fine we can meet at the coffee shop. Where do you work?" Asher asks.

"At the library. They had a spot open for re-shelving so I was like why not." Sean laughed. "That's really cool babe. I'm glad you found a job. Well I love you, see you after work."

"Love you too. Bye." Sean hung up and took a quick shower before heading to work. When he entered the library it was as quiet as yesterday. Not too many people were there, but that was fine since there are only loads of people here after school gets out.

Sean walked around the library picking up books that were strewn around the library. Then went to the desk where the cart of returned books sat. 

Sean started restocking the books when a kid ran by and hit the edge of the ladder he was standing on. The ladder wiggled and Sean braced himself for the fall that never came.

"You okay?" Josh asked from the bottom of the ladder. "Yeah. Thanks." Sean got down and grabbed more books.

"You doing anything after work?" Josh asks as he steadies the ladder for Sean. "Yeah I'm meeting my boyfriend at the coffee shop."  "Ah okay."

"Why did you ask?" Sean asked after re-shelving the rest of the books. "I was wondering if you wanted to get some lunch or something." Josh replied grabbing the cart and pushing it back to the front desk.

"Maybe some other time." Sean smiled. "Yeah that sounds great." Josh smiled back.

Time skip to three o'clock.

Sean walked to the coffee shop and sat at the table where Asher sat with two cups of coffee. "Hey babe." Sean said as he sat down.

"Hey how was work?" Asher asked pushing the coffee over to Sean. "It was okay some kid almost killed me on a stupid ladder."

"You didn't get hurt did you?" Asher asked worry evident in his voice. "No my boss was walking by and grabbed it before it toppled over." Sean said seeing Asher calm down.

"That's good. At least no one got hurt." Asher said and held Sean's hand rubbing his thumb over Sean's knuckles.

"Yeah." Sean smiled and took a drink of his coffee. After the two finished their coffee Asher walked Sean home.

1 month later.

Sean still worked at the library and had just gotten home from work. Sean's phones buzzed in his lap and he looked down at it. He received a text from Asher.

A: hey babe. Can you come over I gotta tell you something.

S: Yeah sure. Gimme a minute and I'll be over.

A: Okay see you in a bit love you.

S: Love you.

Sean threw on some shoes and walked over to Asher's. Asher was nervous, but excited about the news he had just received.

When Sean arrived Asher opened up the door, both boys went and sat on the couch.

Asher handed Sean an envelope. Sean gave him a confused look before opening it. When he opened it he was kind of upset, but proud.

Asher had gotten into his dream college. "That's amazing babe. Congrats." Sean smiled and kissed Asher. "You okay?" Asher asked concern laced his voice.

"Yeah." Sean replied. "Sean." Asher's tone now serious. "I'm gonna miss you. I don't wanna break up with you okay?" Sean said on the brink of tears.

Asher hugged Sean close. "Imma come visit you whenever I can. We can call and Skype and write and everything. There won't be a day when you won't hear from me babe."

Sean smiled through his tears hugging Asher tightly. "I'm leaving next Monday for Boston." Asher said into Sean's hair.

"Can we spend time together until Monday then?" Sean mumbled into Asher's chest. "What about your job?" "I'll talk to him he'll understand. So today's Wednesday which means we'll have at least 5 days to spend together before you leave."

Asher smiled down at his adorable boyfriend and kissed him passionately. "Sean I don't think I would be able to break up with you." Asher said truthfully. "Why is that?" Sean asked.

"Because we've already been together for 1 and half years. We've come so far in our relationship. The fights. Late nights. All of it and we did it together." Asher said looking down at Sean's doe like eyes.

"True it'd be pointless to give up what we have because of distance. It'll only be for a few years." Sean said and kissed Asher's neck.

"About 4 or so." Asher states. Sean pulls out his phone and calls the library and explains to Josh his situation. Josh didn't mind as long as he made up for it once Asher left.

That night Sean and Asher made a really nice dinner and watched movies until they both passed out on the couch. Sean had rolled off the couch with a soft thud.

He sat up and walked into the kitchen it was 4 in the morning. He got a drink and walked back into the living room. Looking down at Asher he smiled and kissed his forehead lightly.

Sean was so in love he couldn't help himself, but look at Asher the way he did. He loves him so much to express in words.
