"Are you blind or just playing blind?" Jill spoke, on their way to their different classes. She was nagging to her nonstop from the instant Alexei left their company.

"What are you talking about?" she opened her bag to find the keys for her locker, and took the books for her first class.

"Why do you always get the good-looking ones?" she answered her question with another question. Jill leaned on her locker door as she eyed her expression closely. Students are already heading off to their next period classes.

"Come on, Jill. He is just a friend," Cheshire whispered with a grunt.

"A friend? Nathan is clearly hopelessly in love with you!" she exclaimed loudly." Can't you see the way he's looking at you. I mean I might be single, but I sure know if a guy is interested in being more than just friends when I see one."

"Shut up," she motioned for her to keep her voice low. Groups of people were passing near them, sharing gazes at them on the way.

"Then stop acting like you don't know-" Cheshire cut her off before she can even finish her statement. "Don't even think about fantasizing such things. That's just impossible. Nathan is my friend and it stays that way. Why would you even think that when I'm with Damien," she stated calmly but the uneasiness that she was feeling was clear in the manner she was portraying.

"I can't believe you'd be so blind and insensitive." Jill stared her down mockingly. She was on a roll today and Cheshire was more than annoyed. "Damien isn't the only guy in town, and besides you don't understand the risks of having a male bestfriend. There's always disastrous possibilities when you keep a guy so close."

" Stop talking like I'm completely to blame. And I am innocent," she defended. "I don't even get half of what you're saying. I must have said this the umpteenth time already but Nathan is just a friend. And if you're thinking any differently then you're the one with problems. So let it go."

"Someday I swear, I'm gonna be the one who will say 'I told you so'" Jill blabbered. "How could I even expect you to understand when it took months for you to realize that Damien had feelings for you! You're practically naive when it comes to these things."

"Maybe I should listen to Miss single expert," Cheshire couldn't hold back the retort.

"That's not funny."

Cheshire realized she had crossed the line. "I'm sorry Jill, that wasn't what I intended to say. Look, I admit I'm not a professional when it comes to boy's feelings or anyone's feelings for that matter and even if Nathan does have some slight crush on me it still wouldn't change anything okay?"

"Okay, okay," she held her hands up high in surrender. " You already made your point clear, stop it with the blabber. Only one more question left."

"And whats that?" she stared at Jill intently.

"So, can I have him?" Cheshire narrowed her eyes at her in shock and disbelief.

"What? He's cute!" Jill blurted out, with a retorted face.

"Sure, you can have him. If he likes you." Cheshire added, emphasizing the last part.

"I'm adorable, charming and extremely likeable," she playfully elaborated defensively.

"If being naggy and irritating is your definition of likeable and incredibly charming, then yes he would definitely fall for you," she murmured under her breath sarcastically. She looked up to see Jill scowling at her.

"Just kidding," she smiled innocently like a little girl.

" You really should stop it with the insults, its kinda irritating and painful," Jillian feigned hurt. " No more bad comebacks, miss obviously sarcastic, just purely sweet talks and meaningful agreements and the complete truth, for a change."
