I shot straight up, leaving Ashton on the couch. She wasn't supposed to be home!
"I don't know who you are, but you will leave my house right now," Elizibeth said calmly. Ashton got up and muttered a small 'bye Lottie' and walked out. Shit.
"Elizabeth," I started, but she blew up in my face.
"Why was a boy in my house?!" She roared. "You are definitely grounded for weeks to come! I want your stuff! Go! NOW!"
I shuffled past her and stumbled up the stairs. I walked down the hall into my room where Calum and Juliette sat. I quickly closed the door.
"Juliette, Elizibeth is back early. We have to find a way to get Calum out without being caught," I said pulling Juliette out of Calum's arms. I know, rude, but if we don't think of something quick they won't be in each other's arms for a while.
"What? Why?" She said, her eyes widening. I shook my head.
"She already made Ashton leave and she is taking my stuff." I groaned. Goodbye phone and laptop. "I'll distract her in the kitchen while Calum sneaks out the front door."
I picked up my phone and laptop while Calum and Juliette shuffle quietly behind me. I heard Calum say behind me, "I have never snuck out behind a parent's back before," which made Juliette quietly giggle. We reached the bottom of the stairs.
"Stay here. When I yell 'FINE', Beyoncé you go out the front door," I said, putting my hand on Calum's shoulder. "Tell Luke, Ashton and Mikey I'll see them on the other side."
"Will do, Jay-Z," He whispered. It is just our nicknames for each other. It is a long story but it just happened. Anyways, I walked into the kitchen where Elizibeth sat. I placed my laptop and phone in front of her.
"Who was the boy with you?" She asked quite calmly. I was pretty shocked because I thought she would scream at me.
"Ashton," I replied.
"And how old is he?" Elizibeth asked, pushing my phone and laptop away from me.
"He is nineteen," I said, now realizing the almost two-year gap. I am turning 17 in two months actually.
"He is too old! You cannot see him!" She said. So that is why she was being calm. She was planning on ruining my life!
"You aren't the boss of me," I said frustrated with her choice. There was no way she can keep me away from him and the boys.
"Yes I am, and to make sure you don't, I am having the neighbors look out for you. They have outdoor cameras Charlotte, you can't win." She smirked.
"FINE!" I yelled, hoping Calum and Juliette heard. I heard the quiet gasp of the glass door shut, and I now know Calum got out. "But listen here, I always find a way to win. Whether it be by a long shot or just a small benefit."
"Charlotte, you will be a struggle," She said, her voice gradually getting louder. "But trust me on this, you will learn your manners and responsibility here whether it takes years or not! I WILL NOT FAIL!"
"We'll see about that," I smirked slightly, backing up into the hallway and then turning to go up the stairs. I grunted in annoyance. I walked into my room to see Juliette casually sitting on her bed, probably texting Calum.
"How'd it go?" She asked, not even looking up from her screen.
"Horrible," I said, "I think I am going for a walk."
"Be careful, Lottie," She replied actually looking up. I nodded and grabbed one of my jumpers. I tied my black Vans on my feet and walked downstairs to the front door. The chilly breeze kissed my cheeks as I walked down the driveway. I turned the corner and continued down Maple Street.
I sighed to myself, kinda feeling sorry for Ashton. Nothing bad happened to him but I mean it sucks that we got barged in on. At least we weren't sucking each other's face off.
Then that got me thinking, what will happen when the boys go on tour? God knows they will because they are talented fucks but what will happen to Juliette and I?
I will probably be left behind because who needs me? Ashton and I aren't even a thing yet, so what is it going to come too?
Juliette would probably be chilling with Calum on their tour bus while I'd sit with Elizibeth watching How I Met Your Mother.
That thought kinda made me kinda sad.
The path seemed to go on forever until I came to a busy road with cars zooming past each other. The lash of the cars hit me as I stood there just looking at them.
Cue dramatic music.
Just kidding, but instead of crossing the street, I turned back and walked back down Maple Street. The long path going nowhere. That is what it felt like to me. Nowhere. Elizibeth's house wasn't my home, and never will be. It's nowhere to me.
I was just about to turn down the street that Elizibeth lives on before I heard a car behind me.
"Need a lift, pretty girl?" A deep voice said behind me and I froze.
