Airell's POV
"Hey gorgeous," said a really familiar voice as I answered my phone.
"What's up, ugly?" I chuckled.
"Ouch, now that is just plain mean,"I can picture him pouting as he answered and I laughed at his child-like attitude.
"Oh, I'm sorry, did I hurt the little girl's feelings?"
Now it was his turn to laugh, "Ah, such a beautiful laugh. Sounds like the angels from heaven."
"Shut up, Munsch," I chuckled, "Seriously, what's up?"
"Nothing, I just want to check how you doin'."
"You do know you're not Joey Tribbiani, right? So that 'how you doin' thing you just said doesn't really work?" I teased.
"Woah there, Carter, woke up on the wrong side of the bed? Why you killing my mood?" he complained.
I laughed again. "I just love teasing you, Munsch. You complain and get all annoyed like a little girl."
"Okay, okay, enough with the little girl thing. If somebody heard you it would be a deduction to my manliness!" he whined.
And yup, like a little girl.
"Alright. Wouldn't want to be the reason why your manliness is questioned," I laughed, "Anyway, I'm fine. Just hanging out at home, movie marathons with my sis, the stuff,"
"Great! Seems like you're bored, so I'm picking you up at 5:00 and we'll hang out somewhere else," he informed.
"I didn't say I was bored," and as I looked at my watch, it's already 4:30, "And you expect me to be ready in 30 minutes?"
"If you are not bored, then I am! I wanna go our ice cream place and yes, I expect you to be ready in 30 minutes. See ya!" he said then hang up.
So rude. But, he managed to put a smile into my face.
"David?" I heard my Jessica's voice so I looked up and there she was leaning on the door frame.
"Yeah, we're heading out," I told her.
She smiled an all-knowing smile.
"What?" I asked.
She shrugged with the smile never leaving her face.
"Oh, nothing. I just noticed that you and David have been spending a lot of time together recently,"
"We have?"
She raised her perfectly done eyebrows as if questioning my being so I looked back over the past few weeks.
It's been 3 weeks since that day when I talked to Asher on the playground and David has indeed been hanging out with me since then.
I realized that he's a different person than I expected and we seem to get along really well. We've been to movies, bowling, clubs, and to that ice cream shop. It's weird but we never run out of things to talk about and I can say that within 3 weeks, we've really learned a lot about each other.
"I guess we really have," I said.
"You just realized that now? Princess, you always hang out and at times when you don't he always calls to check up on you," she wiggled her eyebrows.
