Chapter Flashback:

I sighed. I have officially confirmed that I have become a more complex person. Sometimes I feel like I really don't know myself. But that's normal right? Everybody has those days.

Maybe I'll just go on with the flow for now.

Don't overthink and maybe, I'll be surprised.

And surprised, indeed. As we rounded the corner to Asher's house, we saw a car parked right in front of it.

Leaning in it's hood was the last person I wanted to see.

Ike.
~♡~

You haven't known the real meaning of awkward until you sit in the living room with 2 quiet guys for the last 15 minutes without saying anything at all. I think one of us is waiting to start a conversation but here we are, still waiting, glancing at one another.

How did I get into this type of situation? Well it was when Asher and I got home from the grocery store and saw Ike outside the house. Not wanting to be rude, Asher invited him in and here we are, in this awkward situation.

"So," I started when I can't take it anymore. They both looked at me so I smiled, "Coffee, anyone?"

"No, thank you,"

"Black. My mug,"

They both said at the same time then they looked at each other.

"You boss her around?" Ike asked Asher, clearly not pleased.

"Apparently. And since she asked, and this is my house," Asher shrugged.

Ike just shook his head and looked at me, "How are you, Ai? I didn't know you ran away."

"I'm good, actually. I'm at a soul searching adventure as of the moment and it's been great."

At this, Ike looked shocked. What did he expect? Me thanking him for saving me from this situation?

"How did you know I was here?" I asked him.

"I asked the owner of the shop," he answered but looked away.

"You asked Vic? Why? And how did you manage to let him give you the address?" Knowing Vic in the short span of time I was working at the shop, he wasn't the type of man who would easily give put information. Knowing Ike in the long span of time that Iknew him, he would do crazy things just to get what he wanted.

"I kind of told him I was your boyfriend," he admitted and bowed his head.

"You what?!" I shouted and stood up out of reflex. Unfreakingbelievable.

"Okay, so I'll go grab my own coffee and give you both some privacy," I heard Asher say as he stood up and went to the kitchen. To be honest, I completely forgothe was there.

"Look, I'm sorry, Airell, but I was desperate," Ike tried to explain, "I was looking all over for you since I went to your house after I saw you at the shop and found out from your Dad that you ran away. Of course, I got worried. Then I just had the idea of going to the shop and since tou weren't there, I asked the man."

I covered my face with my hands out of frustration. This guy clearly doesn't understand rejection.

"Ike, you do realize that if a person ran away, she doesn't want to be found. And if she wants to go back, she would've done so herself. Is that so hard to understand? I don't need you, okay? Please try to understand that and get it through your head."

He stood up and grabbed my shoulders. "Is it because of that guy? Did he brainwash you? Did he want something from you?"

Hearing this, I shrugged out of his hold and took a step back, "Seriously, Ike? What has gotten into you? Stop worrying about me, okay? I am not your concern. Asher has been helping me. And to be perfectly honest, he made me a better person."
