Airell's POV

"Ow, my head," I groaned, "Damn it."

"That's what you get for drowning yourself with tequila,"

I opened my eyes to see Jess chuckling from the door of my room.

"Oh, and just for the record, Aii, tequila is not water. Okay?" she continued then laughed.

"Shut up," I groaned then covered my face with my blanket. The sunlight's blinding me.

"I was just saying in case you forgot. And boy, are they hard to tell from each other," she laughed.

"Don't you have anything better to do? Or a work to go to?" I said, wanting to be left alone with my pounding head and dry throat.

"Actually, I was just about to leave but then Dad sent me here to bring you water and a medicine for your headache. Oh, and by the way, Dad said you have to eat breakfast because he told Jack to make soup for you and Dad said -"

"Did you just say Dad?" I automatically got up after finally letting her words sink in.

"Finally caught up, did you? I've been putting emphasis on the word 'dad' for like three times already and -"

"Urgh, Jess, will you please stop the babbling?" I groaned, "You're making my headache worse. Seriously. Just please tell me Dad didn't see me last night."

Her face contorted, "Ooh, uhm. Should I tell you the truth or should I lie to make you feel better?"

I covered my face with my hands, frustrated.

Of all the times I came home drunk, it has to be now when I'm miserable.

"Was he angry? What did he say?"

She sat down on my bed facing me, "Well, he did handle it pretty well. He wasn't angry but he wasn't happy either."

I breathed a sigh of relief. At least he won't kill me, right?

"But he did talk to the person who brought you home though," she added, "And I guess it was a serious talk because it took awhile and he wasn't smiling when he went in."

This made me confused.

What would Dad talk to Caitlyn about that needed to be serious?
