Chapter Flashback:

Oh, and Airell?" Asher called so I turned around and faced him.

"Hmm?"

"You have 17 questions left. I still have 19. Sweet dreams, Princess." He smiled then went towards the stairs.

That was the first time he called me by my name. I smiled.

ASHER'S POV
(A/N: Please excuse the typos and maybe too girly thoughts to be qualified as guy's thoughts. Feel free to comment. I'd love suggestions and comments)

*Everything you see that glitters
Isn't always gold
Everything you think is perfect, oh
Isn't always so
Many times many times I would've let my feelings show
Everything you see that glitters
Isn't always gold
You know I'm just human, human, human after all
You know I'm just human, human, human after all *

I leaned on the door frame and stared at Airell swaying and singing while cooking breakfast. To be honest I kind of am used to her cooking. Though most of it is fried and simple, but its the thought that counts.

*You know I'm just human, human, human after all
You know I'm just human, human, human after all *

Since she came into our lives, I would be a hypocrite if I won't admit that she made an impact. Mine and Sophia's life became brighter. She brought color and well, fun.

I continued staring at her while she scooped the bacon from the pan and bit into it.

"Ah, fck! Hot. Hot. Hot!" She shouted as she spit the bacon.

"Tanga." I muttered and chuckled quietly.

Airell quickly ran to the sink and washed her toungue. She really looks like a child. Too innocent and fragile. She may put up with the 'I-am-strong' facade but I knew better than that. She's got her own vulnerablity and I intend to help her be strong.

You have become too girly, man.

Yes, those are my inner thoughts.

I sighed. Maybe she has gone too far enough. She dug too deep into our lives. Maybe I made the wrong decision of letting her stay. But I remembered the day she begged to stay here. She was too fragile and weak to be alone in a cruel world.

I shook my head.

"I am so going to regret my decisions."

Riiiiing. Riiiiiiiing. Riiiiiiiiiiing.

I quickly grabbed my phone to see who was calling.

"Yes?"

"Asher! Bai, kumusta naman ka? Kanus-a man ka uli diri sa Cebu oy? Gimingaw na sila nimo, samot na si Lola. Sigeg pangutana asa na kuno ka. Kaabot lang ka diha, wala naka kahinumdum namo da!"

[Translation: Asher! Bro, how are you? When are you coming home to Cebu? They miss you, especially Grandma. They keep on asking of your whereabouts. Since you've been there you haven't remembered us!]

I laughed at my cousin Kitt. He lives in Cebu, Philippines, thus the Visayan dialect.

"Kahinumdum paman gud ko ninyo gud. Busy lang jud ko sa pagpanginabuhi. Sagdi lang, mobisita ra nya ko puhon."

[Translation: Of course I still remember you guys. I was just too busy in making a living. Don't worry, I'll come visit soon.]

"Bantay bitaw. 80th birthday ni Lola sunod semana bai, uli ha?"
