Last night I posted Chapter 45 of this book. This morning I discovered that it accumulated the most amount of comments I've ever received overnight. Reading these comments I also realized that the decisions I made in that chapter fired up a lot of different opinions - which is what I had expected. I knew some people would like it, and I knew some people would dislike it.
As far as I know, all of you who read the chapter last night understood my decision - regardless of whether you liked or disliked what happened. And for that I'm grateful - I know it was very upsetting but thank you for accepting it.
I need you to remember that this book isn't really supposed to be cheerful. I mean, of course there are happy moments, but overall this is supposed to be a serious, gloomy and almost dark story. Any happy moments are usually contrasted with something tragic happening afterwards. This is all intentional - because I have never written a book like this before - and I thought it was just a good change from the books I usually write.
With that said, I will move on to the second reason why I wanted to post this Author's Note.
We are now at one of the most climactic points in the storyline. Many of you will definitely not like what will happen in this book from this point on until the book ends. All that I will say in regards of hinting what will happen, is that Chapters 26 & 27 are more important than you think.
In this Author's Note, I am promising you a good ending. Please keep this in mind as this book continues.
I'm sorry that this isn't an update. And I know that all of you want to know what happens next in the book, but I will be following my updating schedule and updating my other books first. This isn't to keep you in awful suspense - it's so that I can have more time to think about how to write the next chapter as effectively as possible - which is something I can think about & figure out as I update my other two books.
That's all I wanted to say, and again thank you all so much for reading, voting & commenting on this book. Your support means everything to me, and I'm truly sorry for upsetting you in the last chapter, but again please understand why I did it.
