Allen couldn't tell what he was feeling as he walked downstairs towards the door. Anxious? Not really, that passed. Upset? I've calmed down a bit. Scared? No, I'm fucking terrified. He took a deep breath before opening the front door.
Have you ever seen those revolution based movies where some people get hung? Well. Allen would rather be in that situation than this one. Hope looked deathly calm, Allen was frozen with fear.
"You have ten minutes Walker. Explain everything and don't leave shit out or you won't see me again."
Allen told her everything, beginning from the nightmares all the way to what Phantom Lost meant. By the time he finished his hands were slightly shaking which worsened to uncontrollable trembles as Hope stared at him without speaking.
"Do I look like a fucking idiot Allen?" Everything came to a stop. Allen couldn't move. She didn't believe him.
"Hope, I'm not lying." He kept his voice steady.
"You expect me to believe you're the Phantom?" Her voice went up an octave with each word. Allen flinched as she stood suddenly. The white haired teen quickly tried to calm her down as she walked towards the door.
"Hope! Please, I can prove it." Hope froze. She had desperately hoping it was a social experiment. She was waiting for Lavi to jump out with a camera and yell, "You got punk'd." but deep inside she knew it wasn't going to happen. Still, Hope wanted to see if it was true.
"Fine. Prove it, Phantom." Her voice was monotone as she turned around and crossed her arms. She watched as Allen closed his eyes and suddenly was engulfed in darkness.
"Allen!" She couldn't help it, she ran towards him.
Hope had heard stories about The Phantom. She heard that he radiated an aura of authority and had an air of mystery around him. She'd read eyewitness reports saying that he was "sarcastic yet polite". She'd heard that one annoying newscaster that was always on in Times Square calling him a "freak." and a "monster". She now had half a mind to stomp right into his office and take out his broadcast. She couldn't believe that the person standing in front of her was Allen. He was now 'Phantom', dressed in tight fitting black clothes. A gun strapped to his thigh and boots (Hope wouldn't admit it but she'd kill for a pair of those.) his hair was black and the infamous "Phantom" trademark, a white mask, covered his eyes. She just stood there for a couple minutes before Allen cleared his throat.
"So... do you believe me? Hope-" she walked towards him suddenly and punched him across the face.
"Hope-"
"Shut up, Allen." Allen bit his lip as he held his hand up to his bruised cheek. He watched as Hope seemed to gather her thoughts.
"The Phantom was stabbed according to video surveillance and eyewitness reports. You didn't show up to school for a week. You are such a fucking idiot-Wait no. I guess I'm an idiot because it was always fucking obvious wasn't it?" She didn't allow him to answer instead she grabbed his shoulders tightly and looked him in the eyes.
"You can't be the phantom. I've seen Shields surveillance videos. You've been shot. A lot. You've almost died countless times. No. You're too nice. In middle school you didn't want to play dodgeball because you were scared of hitting people. Allen, last month you were crying about a fucking movie you've seen countless times. You. Cannot. Be. The Phantom." With each of the last five words she spoke she shook him. Allen flinched as Hope quickly put her hand on his face.
"Why did you flinch just now?" Hope looked like she was holding back tears. Allen almost looked ashamed.
"I... I didn-"
"Yes you did, Allen. When I punched you... You saw me coming. Yet you didn't flinch. Why did you just flinch?"
"I didn't think you were going to hurt me the first time..." That all it took for Hope to hug Allen tightly murmuring apologies. She didn't cry (stone cold Anderson) but if Allen shed a tear or two, she didn't mind. The two stayed like that for a few minutes before Hope tickled Allen.
"Anything else you want to tell me? Are you a magical prince? A mermaid?" She smiled as she felt Allen chuckle into her shoulder.
"Well actually... I may have acquired a boyfriend."

"What the fuck!"
Fuck.
"I missed you getting a boyfriend! Fuck!" She let go of him and started murmuring to herself comically. Allen stood dumbfounded as he tried to think of what to tell her. She cut him off as soon as he was about to speak.
"Is it Lavi?" The sudden clarity in her voice was hilarious and Allen couldn't help but laugh. He look away slightly as he felt his cheeks redden.
"Yes..."

The following sound that came out of her was inhuman.
"Oh my god! Allen, I'm so happy you guys decided to stop ignoring the obvious." Allen opened his mouth to respond when his phone started ringing.
"Huh," he said grabbing his phone off of his bed, "I'm not expecting a call." Allen's heart skipped a bit. S.H.I.E.L.D was making a house call.
"Answer! I'll leave right after but promise me that whenever you finish what you need to do you'll call me." Allen nodded and answered his phone. He didn't speak before he heard a raspy voice on the line.
"Allen Walker," Allen immediately felt uneasy. He'd never heard this voice before and the only person who called him from that line was Fury. "we can't wait to see you."
"Who are you? How did you get this number?"
"Questions, questions. My, my so many questions. You'll know who we are soon enough, your Highness." Allen dropped his phone as he felt like his head was split open. Hope grabbed him as he doubled over clutching at his head. Allen grabbed the phone only to see the call had ended.
"Allen, are you okay?" Hope sounded incredibly concerned. She helped Allen walk to his bed and frowned as he nodded.
"I need S.H.I.E.L.D here. No, the avengers." Allen didn't know how much he could trust S.H.I.E.L.D anymore. He doubted that they actually wanted to harm him but he couldn't take the chance.
"Where's Spike?"
"He should be here by-"
"Allen! I'm back." Hope pushed Allen onto his back.
"You need to lay down." Allen didn't protest. "I'm gonna tell Spike what happened, okay?" All the white haired teen could do was make a small sound of approval as another wave of pain went through his head. The second one wasn't as intense and Allen could feel them getting less and less painful. He laid on his side waiting for Spike.
"Hope went home. I called the Avengers, Bruce is going to take a look at you." Allen waited for a moment before responding.
"He called me... 'your highness.' My head felt like it burst after that." Spike frowned.
"All right buddy, come on." He pulled Allen to his feet. "Can you walk?" Allen nodded.
"Good. We're going to the Avenger's tower."
