Allen took a deep breath to try and calm himself. Realistically he knew that Stark Tower had some of the best technology in the world. He knew that while Tony Stark was seen as an asshole, the guy would put his life on the line for others. Allen knew that Spike was perfectly capable of taking care of himself. None of that would calm him down.

The teen trembled as he put his camera into his bag and put on the straps. His phone rang in his pocket but he ignored it. He had to get to Stark Tower. Suddenly the sky darkened. Allen looked up at the sky to see something, some kind of flying robot. Or maybe it was a... Oh irony is a fucking bitch.

Aliens. There were aliens invading New York. Allen wanted to go back in time and punch himself. He saw the streets turn to chaos. People shouting and shoving others to get away. He looked to the other side of the street where people were running from and would've probably frozen if it were a different situation. Captain America was down the street fighting a group of the aliens at a time. On the street was also a guy with a bow and arrow and a woman with short red hair.

Allen began to run towards the stairs, he had to get out of there before he was noticed. There was a loud sound almost like an explosion, Allen turned around to see four buildings fall because of a long serpent-like alien. Swarms of the aliens kept appearing from seemingly nowhere. Allen made his way down the stairs as fast as he could.

Finally Allen made it to the ground. He ran out of the garage and took in the damage. Debris all over the streets. Large chunks of building all over. The way to safety had been blocked, probably by one of the larger aliens. On the other end of the road there were people fighting the aliens, above him as well. More were coming out of something in the sky.

Suddenly three of those creatures landed in front of him, seemingly ready to attack.

Allen felt like he was 9 again, back in the foster home. He felt powerless again, out of control. There were people, incredibly gifted and powerful people, saving the innocents of New York. All be he had to do to be noticed was yell for help. He couldn't though, he was to scared. Scared, no. Terrified. He felt paralyzed by fear. He couldn't move.

The aliens charged and Allen shut his eyes, waiting for the attack.

"Are you out of your mind?!"

Allen's eyes snapped open. Standing in front of him was a man with blond hair and a bow and arrow. The teen stood in awe as the man shot at the aliens with arrows. The arrows did nothing... Then Allen heard the beeping.

"Kid!" Arrow man grabbed Allen and pushed him down as the arrows exploded.

"Come on!" he said as he grabbed Allen's wrist and pulled him into an alleyway. He looked Allen over, checking for injuries.

"Are you alright kid?" The man asked, concern laced in his voice. Allen managed to nod shakily. He was slightly in shock from what had happened. Arrow man seemed relieved to hear it and put his hand up to his ear.

"Guys, we've got a situation. There's a teen who wasn't evacuated. Do you think you'll be able to finish without me?" Allen was about to protest when a loud screeching noise rang through the air. Both of them looked up to see a building falling over. It would land right on them. Allen snapped out of his shock and instinctively held out his hands above him. This arrow guy was good, but his bomb arrows wouldn't help. They'd make more debris. They were doomed.

Allen felt cold. He didn't feel the chunks of concrete land on him, but surely they did. If he were alive there's no way he'd be this cold.

"Holy shit." A familiar voice said in a low whisper. Allen's eyes snapped open. He wasn't dead. The teen looked at the man, who was staring at him with what looked like awe. Allen looked up to see what had saved them and his mind blanked for a second.

The concrete was frozen in place. No, not frozen. Being held in place, it was surrounded by some kind of black light or shadows.

Allen still felt cold, and there was something in his eyes. He hadn't moved, his hair had been in his eyes, but now there was something black. Allen looked at his hands which also seemed to be enveloped in shadows. Allen then realized that this was coming from him. He was holding the concrete up. He was doing this, he was... very tired. Allen closed his hands into fists and the concrete disappeared. He felt the strength leave his body, knees shaking he stumbled and the arrow guy was on his side to steady him.

"Kid? Kid, stay awake. We're gonna get you to safety." Allen tried to push the man away in annoyance.

"My name's Allen." He said as the world suddenly dimmed. Allen felt ridiculously tired.

"Kid. Kid! Allen!"
