Chapter Nine

Annora stayed nestled in Luke's arms while he ate his food, seeming deep in thought. Annora tried to take Luke's advice and not worry. He told her to stay positive and assume they made it out until they heard otherwise. The guys would call as soon as it was safe.

She was hard pressed to take that advice. She couldn't help it. Kyle always teased her that she was too soft to be a rogue, that caring so much was ganna end up getting her in alot of trouble one day. Unfortunately he was probably right since every fiber if her being wanted to run back to Blue Moon territory and scower the land until she found them.

"Nora, you ready to go?" Luke asked.

Annora peaked up at him from under her lashes. "I guess so," she sighed.

Reluctantly she sat up, giving Luke a reasuring smile that she was alright. Following him out of the booth she said, "hold on. let me run to the bathroom before we go." Luke gave her a quick nod and walked out of the restaurant dialing numbers into his phone again.

Annora quickly walked to the bathroom and headed for the mirror. She looked a mess, her hair was tangled from sleeping in the car and she had worry lines etched on her forehead. Turning on the tap she gathered some in her hand and tried finger brushing through the birds nest she called hair. It wouldn't be so bad if she could just cut it. Annora had light blonde almost white hair that reached all the way to her waist. It was a unusual color but Annora just contributed it to her wolf since her wolf was completely white except for a small patch of light brown on her back left leg.

Annora thought her hair was too long but Luke and Liam refused to let her cut it. If you ask her they were too controling over her appearance. They hardly ever let her wear make up either. When she had demanded to know why Liam told her, her beauty was too distracting and caused too much attention. That had suprised the hell out of her. She didnt believe him at first until she noticed all the guys standing behind him with their arms crossed, nodding their heads. If it was so distracting you'd think they'd let her cut it but no. She couldn't get mad at them over it though since she knew they were protective over her, even if just a little too much.

Deciding her hair wasn't going to cooperate she settled for a braid.

When she came out Luke was leaning on his car staring at the ground.

"Any word?" she asked trying to keep the worry from her voice.

Luke gave her a sad look and shook his head, "No. Not yet" he told her.

Annora felt like she was going to be sick, her wolf gave a small wimper.

Luke shook his head again and pushed off of the car, heading to the drivers side, "Cmon, we need to get gas before me find a hotel for the night."

They found a decent looking hotel about five minutes up the road. It was small but was better than a filthy motel. Luke made her wait in the car while he ran in to buy a room. Coming out a few minutes later he motioned for her to follow him. Quickly grabbing their bags she followed him up to the second floor. The room was actually nicer than she expected it to be, Luke lifted a brow slightly that he was impressed.

Instead of grandma wallpaper the walls were a deep burgundy color with gold flecked wood trim. A sitting area was located by the door with a couch, side table and a cumfy looking recliner. It looked fairly modern even the tv set up in the corner.

A wall divided the sitting area from the beds, both were queen sized with at least five pillows on each. There was a small nightstand seperating the two. The Duvets weren't a nasty floral print either and that was a plus, instead they were a ivory cream color. "Damn," Luke muttered making her laugh. It was probaby the nicest hotel they'd ever stayed in.

Luke went and plopped down in the recliner, turning on the tv. He didnt watch it though instead he pulled out his phone and started messing with it again.

Annora excused herself and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. Even though she had slept in the car all day she was suprisingly tired. The stress over whether the guys were okay or not had taken alot out of her.

When she came out of the shower Luke was still sitting in the recliner gazing out the window. She climed into one of the beds and snuggled under the covers. "Good night Luke," she said.

Luke turned to look at her, his eyes softened as he got up from the chair and walked towards her bed.

"feel better?" he asked taking a seat next to her and running his fingers through her still wet hair.

"Not really," she replied honestly.

"I'll feel better when we know everyones safe."

Luke nodded his head and kissed her forehead. Standing up he said, " Get some sleep Nora, " as he headed back to the chair.

"We'll know soon enough," he mumbled probaby to himself.

Annora closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
