Chapter Ten
Annora's POV
Annora heard muffled laughter. Who was laughing? Something about that laugh was earging her to open her eyes and return to consciousness. Groaning she buried her head deeper into the pillow. Whoever it was just needed to shut up and let her sleep.
She vaguely felt the bedside dip, "Nora nora nora," a deep sing song voice spoke close to her ear.
Annora groaned again and the mystery voice chuckled. Who was that? That voice was so familiar but Annora was just too tired to piece it together, she just wanted to sleep.
Go away, she thought.
"Wow Annora, I barely escape death to return to you and this is all I get?" the voice said irritated. That sounded like something Liam would say.
Liam.
Annora shot up and let out a startled cry before launching herself at his suprised face. She wrapped her arms around his neck, letting all the worry she felt out in a stranged sob. He quickly brought his arms around her to steady themselves and returned her hug.
"Dang Nora maybe I should escape death more often, " Liam said smiling into her hair.
Pulling away from him she said, "You made it out!," she quickly looked around the room seeing Luke sitting in the chair just like last night but this time with relief in his eyes. Kyle sat next to him on the couch giving Annora a smile and Michael sat at the other end, composed as always, giving her a short nod. " you all did," she said returning her gaze to Liam.
Liam gave her a dazzling smile, "Of course we did! Don't tell me you doubted my skills?"
