Sarah cautiously walked to the door, slowly opening it to reveal.... her overly-eager friend Will, in his dark gray jeans, a blue button-up top and a beige top coat. "Hey sugar, you ready to go?" he said smoothly, sliding his Ray Bans down his nose to wink at her. She sighed with disappointment, nodding her head and rolling her eyes as she walked out the door. "Hey, what's wrong? Were you expecting someone else?" He said as if he could read her thoughts. Realistically, Will came over every school morning to walk her to school. How could she expect a stranger from her daydreams to be at her door? "I guess not," she replied simply. The two continued to walk in a companionable silence until they reached the bus stop. "So, are you ready for another splendid day with me?" Will said through a bright grin, draping his arm around Sarah's shoulders.
"You mean another day in hell?" she replied, brushing his arm off. His smile dropped and turned into a frown as he crossed his arms. "Dude, it was just a joke. I didn't mean it," she said, ruffling his soft brown hair. He just rolls his eyes and gives her a light shove. "Well if it weren't for your personal Satan, you'd be a loner."
"Damn! I'd better call a fireman, people are gettin' roasted all over the place." He just grins at her snarky remark. The bus pulls up, stopping dangerously close to the curb as it always does.

The doors swing open and the pair are greeted warmly by Carl, the bus driver. "Morning Sarah, morning Will!" The twosome take the seat closest to the front as the bus lurches forward. As per usual, Will pulls his phone out and plugs in his earphones. They each take an earpiece and pop it in, moving like clockwork. "This morning's selection is from your fave boy, Shawn Mendes. Mercy was stuck in my head and it made me think of you, so naturally, I downloaded it for you." Sarah's natural RBF deepens as she glares at the boy beside her. "Oh please, don't think I didn't hear you belting Stitches at the top of your lungs last week."
"Well, I thought I was home alone!"
"You were. I just happened to be riding past on my bike." Will winks at her, then puts a hand on her shoulder. "Just do me a favor and don't become a singer. I don't think people on the internet can appreciate a voice that sounds like cats being strangled."
"Thank you for such a colorful review of my singing. And I'll have you know, I had no intention of becoming a singer. I'll leave that to you, love."
"Good." He chuckled.
"But, in juxtaposition with your last point, people love Miranda Sings, and she is the worst singer of them all. Plus, whilst you have an awesome voice, you can't play any instruments for shit. That's my purpose." Will scoffs at this, turning back to his phone. Scrolling through the songs, he selected one and locked his phone. Sarah instantly melted at the familiar sound of Shawn Mendes' voice. She couldn't help it, his songs were so romantic and they made her smile.

It wasn't long before the bus pulled up to the insanity that was their school. They glanced at each other before rolling their eyes and walking out of the bus. On their right, a group of cheerleaders were practicing their next routine, as they squealed and, well, cheered. To their right, a group of boys were checking out the passing girls, one of them wolf-whistling Sarah, earning them a glare from Will, who subconsciously moved closer to Sarah. A group of stoners were passed out at the steps of the school, and a group of skanks were fanning themselves and slathering overly-glittery lip gloss on their lips.

Sarah and Will retreated inside, away from 70% of the commotion, where they walked to their lockers. "We made it through alive! What a miracle from God."
"Well, if it isn't Willy Wanker. " A voice said cheerily behind them.
"Fuck, I spoke too soon. Good morning to you too Leonard." Will smiles sarcastically at Leo, and he grins at them, letting his eyes roam lustrously over Sarah. He turns his attention back to Will and shoves him into the locker. "Are you gonna wank now? Or did you come before you got here?" He smirks at Will's red face, causing Sarah to cringe at the painful memory. She grabs Will's hand and starts walking to their next class. "Just do us all a favor and fuck off Leo." She calls to him in the distance, not bothering to look back. "Call me," Leo shouts, causing Will to roll his eyes violently. "That shit-headed asshat! When is he gonna realize you aren't fucking interested?"

Standing before Leo, Sarah slaps him harshly across the face. "How dare you kiss me! Just because you 'own' me does not give you the fucking right to use me in front of your friends. Leave me the fuck alone. Deal's off." He stands there in shock, holding his hand gingerly on his face as he watches her walk away. "Sarah," he calls hopelessly. "SARAH WAIT!"

"Sarah! Woah," Will stands before her with a concerned look on his face. "Dude, you just completely zoned out on me. You okay?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Just started daydreaming." She replies. But as she looks down at her hand, she can almost feel the tingle of blood in her hands, fresh from the skin-to-skin contact she just pictured. "This is weird."
