I was hurt and furious. The events of my first meeting with Fernando in six years still made me feel sad and angry.
*Flashback *
"Let's get straight to business. "
He didn't bother sitting.
"I do not wish to marry you,Alejandra. " he said.
"Really? "
He nodded.
"May I ask why?"
"I love someone else." He explained nonchalantly.
My breathing stopped and jealousy clouded my mind. Why not me? Why can't he love me?
"Why didn't you tell our parents? "
"You see,you are the only one that can break this engagement. So I came to ask if you would reject the marriage. "
He was practically ordering me.
Am sure he would want me to announce my decision at our family dinner next week.
Think of something Alejandra!
Aha!got it!
"Okay. "
"Just like that? "
"On one condition. "
"Already done."
"You have to promise not to see or sleep with your lover, until the dinner next week."
"WHAT! "
"Take it or leave it Mr.Dominguez. "
He looked livid. He really didn't expect that.
Then he smirked. Am sure he thought he had the upper hand.
"Okay. You have yourself a deal. "
We shared a hand shake before he left.
Fernando thinks am stupid. But, I am smarter than he thinks.
*End Of Flashback *
And now as I look at photos of him and some yet to be identified woman. I almost feel sorry for Fernando.
He is going to find out what I can really do.
