Alejandra
The night is dark and silent.
The only noise came from the
waves crushing against the
shore.
I was alone and suddenly there
he was.

He was everywhere

I begged him to stop but he didn't.

"Alejandra! "

" Please stop! "

"Alejandra "

I jolted awake. I was sweating and Fernando was trying to talk to me.

"Say something Alejandra. "

"What, " I said. My voice still husky.
"Tell me what's wrong ."

I have to tell him. Damn it!Why did he have to ask.

"Its a long story. "

He chuckled,"it's always a long story. "

"This is nothing to joke about. " I snapped.

He clenched his jaw but remained silent.

I told him all of it apart from the suicide attempts. I kept quiet about that because I didn't want Fernando to pity me. It's crazy but that's how I actually feel.

Fernando has been silent for awhile maybe he feels ashamed of me.

No he wouldn't think that.

My thoughts were cut off by his booming voice.

"Damn it!"he got up and started pacing around and running his hands through his hair repeatedly.

"Shit,it was all my fault! "

"What,no."

"Yes it was. If you hadn't heard what I had to say about you. Maybe you never would have run to the beach and you wouldn't have been taken advantage of."

"I guess so. But tell me. Who run you or me? "

"It was you."he answered.

"Yeah. And if I wasn't stupid I would have not run away. I was weak and I run from my problems. And that guy was drunk and he took advantage of the situation. So It's no ones fault. "

"I just wish I never forced you to get married by the beach. I didn't know what happened was that bad."

"Its okay. Am going to bed now,see you tomorrow. "

"See you. "

Am glad I told him about my ordeal. I feel a little bit closer to him now.

I couldn't sleep a wink last night. All my thoughts were occupied by Alejandra's confession.

I still feel it was all my fault.

And I want to make things right.

I was once the cause of her sorrow but now I want to cause her a lot of happiness.

I promise to make you happy Alejandra.

Am going to make this marriage work!
