Chapter 16

Alejandra
“I don't know about that Karina.”

“Come on, you should totally do it.” my bestfriend said as she flipped her hair.

Her idea of seducing Fernando was inviting but what if he rejects me?

“Ale, I don't know why you feel so insecure. You have a great body and you're a good person. Fernando can't possibly resist that. ”

“I don't know. ”Karina walked towards the couch and sat beside me.

“Okay if you can't seduce him you will have to make him jealous. ”

Now that I can totally pull of.

“Good I have the perfect outfit for tonight. ” I said

Tonight was the 100th anniversary of our family's company. Everyone was going to be there it will be awesome! Also my father will be handing down the presidency to my brother. He was finally retiring after three decades of running as president of The Phillipson Corporation.

“Then what are we waiting for let's go get ready! ”

Karina was literary jumping up and down with excitement.

Six hours later
7:30pm
  The cameras flashed as soon as Karina and I stepped out of the car.I've never really liked being famous but I was born into a very important family and I have to live with it.

“This is so fun Alejandra. ” Karina whispered to me sounding like a five year old on a sugar rush.

“Calm down Karina. ” I said with a smile on my face.

She rolled her eyes at me and smiled at the paps. Did I mention that Karina loves the cameras. I guess its part of her job as an actress.

We were finally able to get part the media and into the building where the event was being hosted. I spotted Fernando standing next to a middle aged man probably talking about business. The man said something before walking away. He finally turned to look at me with a smile on his face. But as soon as he saw my dress his smile vanished and he stalked towards me with a scowl on his face.

“He looks angry. ”

“Way to state the obvious Karina. ” I said through clenched teeth.

“Okay fierce chill. I gotta go.”

“But-”

“See ya later.”

“Karina…ugh… she's already gone.” I whispered to myself.

I have no idea what Fernando is going to do. I hope he will not make a scene. A hand roughly took hold of my arm and I yelped. I knew it was Fernando without even looking.

“What the hell do you think you are wearing? ” he gritted out .

“Aaah…… it's a dress.” I smiled at him nervously.

“No its not. Lets go.”

“Where are we going? ”

“Home. I don't want anyone seeing you like this. ”

“But Fernando, i-”

“Alejandra great to see you here.”

We both turned to look at Fernando's parents. Fernando cursed under his breath and I took my chance at getting away from him.

“Mom great to see you here.”

“Great to see you as well my love. Clara and Jonathan (A/N Fernando's brother and sister)  send their love. ”

“They aren't here?” Fernando asked with a relieved look on his face.

“No they are both studying for their exams.”his mother replied with amusement showing in her eyes.

Fernando nodded. I could understand why he never wanted to be near his siblings. They were always teasing him, but anyone could tell that he really cared for them.

“I guess you all have chosen to ignore me.” Mr.Dominguez teased.

“Sorry dad.” I stepped forward and gave him a hug. I stepped back and he turned his attention to Fernando. A waiter passed by and I got some champagne because I was a bit thirsty.

“You're drinking? ” mum exclaimed.

“Yes,any problem? ” I asked taking a sip of the champagne.

“I just thought you would be expecting by now.”she frowned and I almost choked on my drink.

“Don't worry mother you will have your grandchild in your arms very soon.” Fernando smirked as he looked at me with his 'bedroom eyes'. And I blushed like the fool that I am.

Does he really mean what he said?
