Fernando
"Baby, are you sure she will keep her word? " Isla whined.

"Yes she will. So calm down and stop bugging me." I said buttoning down my shirt, "I have enough of that from the media. "

"When are you going to come and see me? "

"Tonight or by 7pm tomorrow. "

She tried to kiss me, but I moved my head. She pouted when her lips met my cheek.

"No." I said sternly, "its not the time for that. "

I got my wallet and car keys, "See you later. "

"Bye baby. "

I let out a heavy breath as soon as I left the house. Sometimes I find Isla too clingy. We are in a relationship and I think I love her, but she's just so tiring.

I got into my sports car and sped off to the Phillipson mansion.

When I got there everyone was already seated at the table. The only seat left was the one next to Alejandra. 

"What took you so long son? We were about to start without you. "My dad spoke with an undertone of disapproval in his voice.

"I was just finishing some work. "

"Why tonight son? You knew how important this dinner is, " my father raised his voice.

"Uncle, calm down. Am sure Fernando just wants to have more free time after finishing all his projects. "

I was surprised that Alejandra was actually defended me. And I was sure she only did to be in everyone's favor. Damned goody-two shoes bitch.

I dont need her to defend me.

"Ohh Ale,you're not even married yet and you are already siding with him." her brother teased.

Ale remained quite.

"Well now that am here. Can we start?"

Dinner was delicious. It was good up until mr. Phillipson brought up the issue of the marriage.

"Well. I believe we all know the purpose of this dinner. "

Everyone at the table went quite.

"Yes. Alejandra, we would like to know if you have accepted the
marriage proposal. "

When she remained quiet, she looked deep in thought. I could not tell what she was thinking.

"Alejandra? " my mother prompted her again.

"Yes. My answer is yes, " she looked me dead in the eye. "I will marry Fernando."

What!

What the fuck did she just say?
