SOPHIE'S P.O.V.
"I hate my uniform." I whined as I looked at myself in the mirror.
"I don't know, I think you look good." Pony stood leaned in the doorway with his backpack slung over his shoulder.
I flashed him a flat look and turned back to myself in the mirror. It was Friday, the morning after Johnny took me out. Today was the first track meet and that means I need to wear my uniform to school because it was a home meet. We got them yesterday at practice, and I absolutely despise them. It is a sleeveless tank top that is too tight and too form fitting, and a short skirt that is way too revealing. Most girls-especially the kind that are on the cheer team, like this kind of clothes. I'm not to fond of the exposure, though. Pony had to wear his track jersey, but he got to wear any pants he wanted. I wasn't so fortunate.
"We're gonna be late." Pony dragged out his words.
I spun around and looked at myself from behind. I sighed angrily. I pulled out some shorts and slipped them on underneath the skirt just in case. Pony sighed loudly as a signal for us to leave. "Hold your horses, I'm coming." I grabbed my bag and we went to the bus stop. It was freaking freezing outside. I wore Johnny's sweatshirt that he gave me yesterday, but my legs were frozen. "Who was the wise guy that came up with the idea to have track and cheerleading in the winter?"
"At least you don't have to run a mile in this kinda weather.." Pony mumbled.
I nodded my head in sympathy, but I was too cold to do much else. The bus rolled up in slow motion it seemed like. I trudged on and made my way right to the heater. Just my luck that the heater sucked on our bus. Pony sat in the seat in front of me as I shivered. "You want my jacket?" Pony asked slowly.
"I have a jacket, I just wish I had some pants on and not this." I snapped. Pony's mouth twitched. "I'm sorry Pony, I'm just cold."
His face lifted and he smiled at me. We pulled up to Johnny's stop. Johnny was wearing his track jersey too. Johnny looked cute in his jersey. I blushed a little as he got on the bus. He sat with me, and tightly wrapped his arm around me, knowing that I would be cold. "Love your sweatshirt.." He smirked, playing with a piece of my hair.
I looked down at the sweatshirt that he gave me last night. "Me too." I smiled.
School was the worst as always. I took an English quiz and got a B on it, which isn't too bad. In P.E. we were playing dodgeball, and I sat out like I usually do. I swooned over Johnny as he beamed the ball from victim to victim. Two-Bit was on the opposite team as Johnny, and whenever he got out, he threw a fit. Johnny chucked a ball straight at two-Bit's face, and Two threw a fit. He got into a fight with the P.E. teacher which ended in Two-Bit being sent home for the rest of the day. "Watch your back, Cade!" Two-Bit yelled as he walked out of the gym.
Johnny just smiled and waved 'cause we all knew no one-especially Two-Bit, could hurt Johnny. Even if they really wanted to.
