Just as we were eating a stranger clad in white trotted towards us on a white horse, upon recognizing the stunning Meras and his rider I lurched forward through the crowds of drawn spears, and much to the exiled group of horsemen.

I hugged the horse and the man that sat upon him with tears in my eyes.

"Gandalf I thought you were dead" I told him as he dismounted, I punched him gently in the arm. "Don't you dare do that again" I growled before hugging him again, Gandalf smiled fondly down at me before turning to those of Rohan.

"King Théoden is no longer under the influence of Saruman, and Grima has been banished. Your uncle has fled to Helm's Deep and needs assistance. What say you?"

Eomer looked astounded for a few seconds "I will give assistance to the king" I said before letting out a shrill whistle followed by a howl.

"You and what army?" Eomer asked and just then the wolves and Laer appeared over the crest of a nearby hill.

"Me and this army" I said before running up to join my army of eight wolves "I am the Warg Queen" another howl was heard through the valley we were stopped in and near a hundred wolves appeared over the hill opposite me. I nearly squealed in delight, more Wolves of Hasidurir.

"We will fight for Rohan" Eomer declared and mounted his steed, I slipped Laer's rope bridle from my pack that I had miraculously held onto into his mouth and mounted him.

Gandalf rode up the slope and we followed slowly. Three days of riding has brought us to the plains before Helms deep just as the sun rose.

"Théoden king stands alone" Gandalf called to the battle below.

Eomer and I rode to his side "Not alone" we said together

"Rohirrim" Eomer commanded "TO THE KING"

We all galloped forward and the wolves and I began to tear down Orcs and Uruk hai down. The battle was near done when a stray Orc slashed across Laer's chest, Laer falls to his knees.

I leapt off him changing into my wolf skin as a blind rage took me, it was dangerous I know but Laer could not die, not yet.

I tore down the beasts of Saruman and finally came to rest by Laer's head, I pulled it onto my lap and stroked his cheek "Laer, Laer, come on boy you can't die yet I need you, please Laer?" I whispered he gave a small whinny and I knew he was lost.

"Go in peace my dear friend Lle ume quel, aa' lasser en lle coia orn n' omenta gurtha" (You fought well, may the leaves of your life tree never turn brown) I bowed my head as Laer drew in his last breath "Namaarie mellon" (Farewell friend) Gandalf approached me and waved his hand and with a flourish Laer's body became a small sapling. I tenderly stroked the leaves and turned to see Aragorn come towards me, I turned and dismissed the waiting wolves letting my pack join theirs, before placing the sapling gently into my pack.

Morphing back into my tawny fur I trotted up to Aragorn and then up to where Legolas sat, we were going to Isengard.

I slipped into the shadows as we neared the compound "Welcome my Lords to Isengard" Pippin declared.

"You young rascals, a merry hunt you've lead us on and now we find you feasting and smoking" Pippin looked astounded.

"We are sitting on a field of victory enjoying a few well-earned comforts... The salted Pork is particularly good"

"Salted pork?" Gimli asked.

"Hobbits" I heard Gandalf mutter under his breath.

"We're under orders from Treebeard who's taken over management of Isengard" Merry said and the company moved forward.

"Hoom, young master Gandalf" The large Ent spoke from his vantage point "I'm, broom, glad you've come. Wood and water, stock and stone I can master but there is a wizard to manage here locked in his tower"

I could no longer contain my excitement and I bounded across the water to land on Treebeard's roots where I phased into my Elf form and hugged him tightly,

"Hoom, hello child, you are exited, we only saw each other a short while ago" I laughed

"It was five hundred years ago you silly Ent. How goes Fargorn? How is Quickbeam and the others? Are there more trees becoming Entish?" I quickly babbled leading the tall tree person to laugh heartily.

"Do not be hasty my dear child. The answer to your questions will come in time." I smiled then yelped in delight morphing back into my wolf form I bounded over to Quickbeam. Morphing into my elf self, I pulled Laer's sapling from my bag and pressed it into his hands.

"Keep it safe Mellon-nin" (my friend) I commanded gently.

I lay on the floor of the castle chewing a meaty bone, I had been having trouble with the amount of people around me and found it easier to manage in this form, "Tonight we remember those who gave their blood to defend this country. Hail the victorious dead" King Théoden announced.

"Hail" Came the reply and then came the drinking and the partying, I waited outside until it was over my sensitive ears could not take the rowdiness.

I was watching over the Fellowship while they slept when Pippin walked past Merry I completely forgot about watching everyone else, Pippin grabbed the crystal ball that had travelled with us from Isengard and ignoring Merry's cautioning he looked into it. Pippin began to squirm and I rushed forward unsure how to help, I grabbed the ball and was sucked in the pain stopped soon after I had grabbed it but I still couldn't let go
