I watched Legolas's face for a reply.
"I've seen prettier" He said
"Oh really?" I asked regarding him, he was closer than I expected he nodded eyes sparking
"And I have to say you are way more beautiful than any sunrise" I blushed and looked at my shoes "You know my opinion hasn't changed of you since we last met" I looked up glaring.
"Oh brilliant. It's great that you still think of me as a traitor" I growled sarcastically. He looked shocked and shook his head.
"No that's not what I meant.
I went to move away but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back gently but seeing as I wasn't expecting it I flew face first into his chest I looked up as he set me back onto my face.
"The thing I like about you the best is you make no sense at all and expect others to understand" he whispered to me his teeth grazing over my earlobe I shivered.
"I make complete sense to myself and just because it makes no sense to you doesn't mean it's nonsense" I grumbled back and he let out a deep chuckle and accompanied it with that to die for smirk.
"You speak in riddles like Gandalf" he whispered gently.
"I learnt from the best" I mumbled and then tried to pull from his grip but he just tightened his hand around my wrist and began to lean in, I was so shocked that I only registered the fact that he kissed me once he pulled away.
"I've been wanting to do that since we entered Moria" He said releasing me.
I put my fingers to my lips trying to remember the feeling of his "Don't make me remember that place" I joked
"Finally" I heard someone say from behind me and Legolas and I whirled around to see Aragorn.
I yelped in surprise. Galadriel came in Thranduil by her side "What did you catch them doing Estel?" She questioned
"Why do you assumed we were doing something?" I shot back
"Because Elf-boy over there is blushing" Aragorn stated. I groaned and buried my head in Legolas's chest.
"Is it possible?" Aragorn asked "That two of my favourite Elves are finally getting along?" I blushed even harder and turned to the railing.
"Maybe" I mumbled focusing on the ground.
"I want first row seat" Aragorn demanded.
"For what?" I heard Legolas ask, but I knew the answer already so waltzed past the three interferers and leapt over the nearest balcony ledge startling a small child. He started to wave a tiny sword around in the air, I laughed and he seemed hurt.
"What's your name?" I asked crouching down to his height and placing my hand on the small sword to lower it so I wouldn't get hit by it 'Accidentally'.
"Eldarion, My lady" he said bowing slightly
"Well my lord Eldarion, you have amazing manners, and you look like a ferocious fighter" I said gently before getting up.
"Duel me?" he questioned shyly, I turned and smiled.
"It would be my pleasure" I said bowing and drawing my sword, he gave a small battle cry and went to attack me, I swerved to the side but let him think that he had gotten my blade.
By the time we had finished the sword fight had become a tickle fight and we now lay on the grass laughing and attempting to catch our breath, I looked over at the small child who remarkably resembled Aragorn? I smiled him and Arwen had been busier than expected.
I smiled at him "How are you so good?" He whined
"Centuries of practice my dear child" I returned he looked as if he was about to complain but he smiled.
"Father said that you and Legolas are to be married" I groaned and buried my head in my hands "Is that not true?" He questioned. I shook my head.
"No" I mumbled "At least not yet" Eldarion smiled.
"What is your favourite thing about him?" I went rigid I could swear that this child was not five, he poked me and I squirmed.
"Probably his eyes" I said gazing up at the sky "I would say his personality but his ego gets in the way slightly" He was about to say something when I heard his name being called, he jumped and ran towards the calling voice.
I smiled and lay back down.
"So you like my eyes?" I shot up spinning around
"Oh my, Legolas" I scolded plopping back down to the ground.
"Why do you like them?" He questioned and my face burned.
"You heard that?" I asked sheepishly and he nodded "Well..." I said I hadn't given much thought to why I liked his eyes so much, I hadn't even thought of why I liked him so much full stop. "I... They remind me of my favourite pond on a sunny day in the middle of winter and when the sun shines on them they go darker, almost like the earth and those are my two favourite things" He chuckled gently lowering his head at the compliment before glancing back at me.
"I forgot to mention something before, do you know what that is?" He asked leaning closer, my breath caught in my throat as the proximity of him flooded into my conscious, he heard it and gave a tiny smile. Shook my head blushing.
"I love your personality" He gave me a peck on the on the forehead "Your eyes" Another kiss, this time on the tip of my nose "your hair" and another "and most of all your lips" And with that he pulled me in closer for a full blown kiss.
He pulled me closer, I wrapped my arms around his neck, and closed my eyes due to my state of near shock. The kiss was sweet and spoke all the words we couldn't express. Finally we pulled away to take a breath, I looked at him shocked.
"Don't pretend you didn't enjoy that Elbereth" He said wrapping an arm around my waist as I attempted to get up.
"I'm not pretending I... I just need to think" I answered back before whistling for Skyfire, she trotted up and tossing her head in Legolas's direction, I turned my back and swung up onto her back and saw that the Elf. No Legolas. Had my horses head in his hands and was murmuring to her in quiet Elvish, I sighed.
"Get up here" I said holding out a hand and he sprung up gently onto her back before wrapping his arms around my waist. My heart fluttered at the contact and I urged Skyfire off.
I headed towards the main part of the kingdom when I heard a howl and grinning manically I spun Skyfire around, which caused Legolas to slide slightly before he regained his composure. We galloped through the gate to meet the howler that I had heard.
I saw an elf pulling back his bow string ready to take the shot, growling I leapt from Skyfire's back, morphing as I went and put myself into the line of fire, taking an arrow to the shoulder, Yelping I lay on the floor gasping as my body shrank into my Elven form, Legolas holding an arrow to the guards head.
"Come on" I growled and went to sit up gasping in pain as I pulled the first arrow out.
"Don't pull them out" Legolas exclaimed.
"Is-is okay" I mumbled holding my hand over the wound then yanked the other arrow out and holding my hand over the holes in my flesh I stood.
"Ed' i'ear ar' elenea!" (By the sea and stars) I screamed at the guard "Tanya awra!" (That hurt)
"Arwen en amin" (My lady) He began.
"Dina" (Be silent) I growled and stalked back into the city the white wolf at my heels, just as I got to the gate my legs folded under me and I fell onto the wolf beside me.
"Get the guards" I heard Legolas command as he knelt next to me "Els stay with me"
"You know" I mumbled "You have really nice hair" I reached out to touch it before everything went blank.
There is always some things you've got to leave undone, some things you never get to say, that's why I made the best of everyday, but I never got to tell him I loved him, No, no, no, NO! You love him, dying won't change my feelings...
