Legolas's P.O.V

"Traitor" I spat, Elbereth flicked my sword out of my hands and dodged behind me and when I tried to grab her she twisted out of my hands and around my back putting a dagger to my neck "Tell your father I am no longer with the wolves but if anyone of them get hurt he will have to answer to me" She growled then she disappeared I heard a howl echo over the battlefield and the wolves dispersed leaving us to deal with the carnage. I started to curse and I kicked a nearby Orc corpse. I had been livid when I found out that Elbereth had disappeared and when she came back... I was so angry at myself for being relieved about her safety that I took it out on her. I hate to admit it but I may have just fallen for her. She may just be my One.

Elbereth's P.O.V
I was running past Minas tirith when a hawk came and landed on my back, I phased and took the letter in my hands, and sure enough the elegant script that covered barely half the page was Lady Galadriel's I read the letter quickly wanting to keep moving, I was not going to Mirkwood with that... That... Elf I refuse to. It took a while for the words to sink in but when they did I smiled.

'Elbereth.
This is Dawn, give her to whom you trust the most, she will be able to find you wherever you are. Also a gift should be coming your way, one of very high importance, I shall not say anymore on this matter, it will be all explained later.

Lady Galadriel

I turned and morphed into my wolf running into Minas Tirith.

Aragorn. I trust you, if I am needed send Dawn to me with the time and place and I will try my best to get there on time
Elbereth

I folded the paper and gave it to Dawn.

"For Aragorn"

I whispered and she nodded quickly and I ran out of the kingdom as if the very flames of that giant flaming goat were behind me. I ran over felids before I heard a loud whinny and whirled around Shadowfax and a black and white yearling galloped towards me I grinned, so this is what she meant a gift of high importance one of the Meras's foals herself I heard a voice float over the wind.

On the twilight-blackened land
I now wonderingly stand
Gazing above horizon's mountains
This sight like fiery fountains
The sky is surely on fire
Flames rising ever higher
An omen of events to come?
Nature's clue to a world undone?
Or just a scenic recollection
Of life's primordial creation?

"Skyfire" I murmured as the horses drew near and the yearling reared up and let out a high whinny.

"My Menelnaur" (Skyfire) I murmured and patted her neck gently.

~Five years later~

I crouched in the tree watching the Elf and Gimli running through the glade. Well Gimli was running, that Elf was prancing. My heart melted slightly at the sight of him but I turned away regathering my thoughts.

"Gimli wait here" I heard him say I smiled and leaned against the trunk of the large oak tree. That was my first mistake.

I fell from the tree as the bough broke under me landing next to a rather shocked Gimli he let out a yelp.

"Say anything and I will cut out your tongue" I growled Gimli gulped. And that was my second mistake. I ran through the clearing and into the trees watching Legolas and Gimli converse.

"I can't tell you" Gimli told the Elf "She said she'd cut out my tongue"

"She?" Elf boy questioned "She! Elbereth come back I need to talk to you" I heard him yell after me.

"Come find me then Elf" I yelled back and that was my third mistake. He turned in my direction and began to run towards me. I ran faster and managed to escape him. Why would he be around Rivendell? Unless.... I glanced up and saw a bird dropping something then flying towards me. The white bird landed on my shoulder holding a letter in her beak.

"Dawn!" I exclaimed I hadn't seen her for a year, almost, she waved the letter in front of me impatiently and I took it laughing. I gave a small whistle and watched as Dawn flew away before opening the letter

Aragorn
Please pass this on to Elbereth. Don't pretend that you don't know what I mean I have heard of the Gwalchgwyn
(Not actually an elvish word but Old Welsh meaning white hawk) this also applies to you Elessar.
Please join us at the full moon to farewell some old friends, I'm sure you know who I mean
Lord Elrond
Also if you can p-

It had been ripped off then, I traced the jagged edges wondering what had been written after but nonetheless I travelled to Rivendell.

Legolas P.O.V

I traced the torn top of the letter as I read it

-lese let Legolas know that he is welcome in Rivendell on the full moon to farewell the old friends I mentioned above.
Lord Elrond, Aragorn.

The hawk had disappeared right after it had dropped the letter, the white hawk. I had seen it somewhere, there was no mistaking its snow white feathers, I began to run in the direction of Rivendell forcing Gimli to stand and run after me.
