Chapter 6:

Mer: Sooo is this why you paged me? So that I can see you screwing your ex wife?
Derek: no, no mer come on! That's not what happened Please don't think that
Mer: Really?! Then please tell me what I am supposed to think after I just saw MY husband kissing is ex wife.
Derek: SHE kissed me! I didn't kiss her I promise you! I promise you that I didnt kiss her, I would never ever cheat on you! Please forgive me ( he grabs her hand) please believe me!
Mer: You can save your part of the story for your divorce lawyer! Have fun kissing that slob (meredith exits the room)
Derek: THANKS ALOT! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! YOU JUST RUINED MY LIFE, MY MARRIAGE, MY FAMILY! ALL YOU DO IS RUIN THINGS!
Addison: Derek she will be back, trust me.....
Derek: why should I trust you? Why in the world do you think she will come back to me?
Addison: because you don't walk away from the people you love.... ( Addison leaves the room)


Meredith goes in an on call room to cry. She is balling her eyes out. Why shouldn't she? The love of her life just cheated on her with his ex wife. Out of all the women in the world, he chose Addison. Cristina was walking down the hallway and saw Meredith run into the on call room. She starts walking quickly to the on call room. She opens the door and see Meredith sobbing.
Cris: OMGOSH ARE YOU OK?! WHAT HAPPENED?! WHO IS IT?ARE THE KIDS OK?
Mer: (still crying) the kids are fine but I'm not. I just walked in on Derek and Addison kissing. HE CHEATED ON ME!
Cris: it's ok mer. It's ok. We will get through this together. Im your person. We will make it through together.



It's been two days since Meredith saw Derek and Addison kissing. Meredith was living with Cristina for right now. Meredith and Derek alternated having the kids every day. They loved being over Cristina's house but Zola always wondered why her mom was crying all the time. Meredith and Derek haven't talked since the day it happened. It runs through Meredith's head every minute. She always wonders how he could have done that. She didn't even talk to him if it was work related. She had one of the interns talk to him for her.
It was morning and Meredith was leaving for work. She was going out to her car. On her car was a dozen of roses with a card saying 'sorry please come back to me. I need you in my life.' Meredith threw the roses away when she got to work. She went straight into the attendings lounge, hoping to avoid him. In her locker was a teddy bear holding a heart with chocolate in it. She thought Derek was being pathetic. Also in her locker, she found a picture of her and Derek when Derek proposed to her. The picture made her cry.
Cris: come on mer, don't cry. We don't cry over boys. We are better than this
Mer: yea, your right.

The day went by sooooo slow. Meredith never ran into Derek. Part if the reason being she skipped lunch and went to find a surgery she could scrub in on. It was the end of the day and Meredith and Cristina were changing.
Cris: how about we go get a drink at joes. You don't have the kids today and plus it might take your mind of things.
Mer: yea, lets go get a drink.

They left work and went to Joes. Cristina ordered to beers for Meredith and her. They were sitting at the bar when a guy sat next to Meredith.
Guy: hi, I'm Finn
Mer: hi, I'm Meredith.
Finn: how about I buy you a drink?
Mer: I'd love that
