Fired?!

Ok I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while:( I've been busy lately But please finish reading to see what happens. Also read lets go back by dizzlek, it's not a greys book but my twin wrote it and its really good:)

Chapter 13:

Mer's pov

OMGOSH where is he? Where's Derek?! How am I going to break this to him? I gotta find cristina.
Mer: Page cristina!
Nurse: I'm sorry but she's with a patient right now.
Mer: I don't care page her again!
Nurse: yes doctor

(Cristina comes running to the desk)
Cristina: what's wrong?!
Mer: I have to tell you something very important.
Cristina: right now? I have a surgery and like 20 minutes.
Mer: okay, it will take less than that. Follow me
(They go to the attendings lounge)
Cristina: ok what is it?
Mer: okay, promise me you won't judge me or be mad ok?
Cristina: I'm your person. Why would I do that! I promise now tell me!
Mer: okay, Webber fired me
Cristina: WWHHHAT? Does Derek know?
Mer: no I didn't tell him yet. I don't know how to tell him.
Cristina: mmmm, ok tell him that you were having a really bad day because he was being a jackass so technically it's his fault.
Mer: no, I'm definitely not going to blame it all on him! It will just make are relationship worse.
Cristina: okay, here is what you'll do. After your done talking to me, you'll go get Derek and tell him. Simple as that.
Mer: nothing about this is simple! He's gonna blow! Wish me luck.
Cristina: he better be ok with this, after all it is his fault. If not ill kick his ass.

Meredith leaves and goes to find Derek. All the interns are giving her weird looks and are whispering about her. Meredith breaks down and yells, " WILL YOU PEOPLE STOP STARING ALREADY?!! I know I got fired so please stop talki-
Before Meredith could finish her sentence Derek comes through the door.
Derek: Whaatt, what do you mean fired?! You got fired and didn't tell me?!
Meredith: Derek, please listen. I-I
Derek: Where you even planning on telling me?!

Everyone in the halls are staring at them. Finally, Owen comes in and tells everyone to get back to work and brings Meredith and Derek in a room.
Meredith: I've been trying to find you all day! The chief fired me because I was apparently ignoring vital signs of a patient... And now she has a very bad infection
Derek: OMG Meredith, how could you do that?! That's the first thing you learn in medical school, to observe any changes and figure out what's wrong.
Meredith: I know, I kno-
Derek: obviously you don't know because you didn't do the right thing!
Meredith: ok sorry. But maybe this is a good thing.
Derek: how in the world could losing your job could be a good thing?! Have you lost your mind?!
Meredith: well this way I can stay at home with the kids and be a better mother for them. This way they can see at least one of their parents more.
Derek: no! no! no! we will find away to get your job back.
Meredith: well how are we going to do that?
Derek: U DONT do anything, I will. Ill talk to the chief and see what the whole case is... ( Derek exists the room)

Derek: hey! Chief! Do you have a sec?
Chief: yea, what's up?
Derek: I wanted to talk about this problem with Meredith.
Chief: look I'm sorry, I really don't want Meredith to lose her job and you know id do anything to help her, but this isn't the first time something like this has happened. She messed up your trial-
Derek: ok well that was a long time ago. That has nothing to do with now. How do you know for sure it was Meredith's fault? Isn't it Wilson's job to check and change the bandages?! That's not Mer's job.
Chief: well I mean I guess your right. We could go further into this. So we are saying its Wilson's fault?
Derek: yes
Chief: are you sure this will work?
Derek: .... Yes
