Yes, I know I haven't updated in FOREVER but I honestly don't know what else to write:/ So this is probably the last chapter So sad :(

Chapter 21:

Meredith: Is this true?!

Derek: yes....

Meredith: dang it Derek! How could you be so stupid? You let her out? Why would you ever do that?!

Derek: I can't say... ill just say it was a deal we had.

Meredith: really?! You can't say?! That is the lamest excuse I've heard. Can't you just tell me the truth for once? Or is that too hard for you?!

Derek: Mer, I didn't lie. She helped me when I was going through some... Troubles and I owed one to her so I bailed her out.

Meredith: No you don't owe her anything! Are you crazy?! Did you forget what she did to Izzie and Alex? She's insane! In fact, YOUR INSANE.

Derek: what? How am I insane? By helping one of are friends out? Yeah, that sounds so insane I don't even know why I would do such a thing.

Meredith: One of our friends?! Jo is not one of our friends. How could you even call her a friend after what she did?

Derek: Because I'm a helpful person and helped my friend out.

Meredith: I can't even have this conversation with you. *she grabs her car keys and walks out*

Derek( thinking to himself): what have I done? I really screwed up this time.

Meredith drives to Alex's house and knocks on the door and Alex answers.

Alex: what do you want? Don't you have to go take care of Jo? Come to "help us out?" Yeah, you've done enough we don't need you anymore.

Meredith: Don't give me that. I wasn't even the one to bail her out and I would NEVER do something like that to you guys. It was Derek. He won't tell me why he did it all he is saying is that they had a deal and he had to help her out.

Alex: oh jeez another fight between the "mcdreamy" couple? Surprise surprise.

Meredith: we are only fighting cuz of the situation that happened with you and Jo.

Alex: I always new Shepherd never liked me.

Meredith: what? It's not that he doesn't like you, it's just that I guess Jo and Him had some kind of deal where she helped him so he has to help her.

Alex: you really fell for that? What if he's not telling the truth and they had an affair or something?

Meredith: Derek and Jo? Are you kidding? She's a psycho. I would think that if he wanted to cheat on me, he would have gone out with some nurse or doctor not some intern.

Alex: true true. Honestly, I don't really care about who he would go out with and I'm not that mad about bailing Jo out I just don understand why?

Meredith: I'm with ya on that. I have no idea why.

( she checks her phone 5 missed calls from Derek)

Alex: looks like you should fix things with your husband. I think he misses you.

Meredith: I hate fighting with him. It just gives me reasons to hate him and hating him is hard. It seems like we have been getting into fights a lot now about random stupid stuff and I don't know why. We used to always get along, everyone would think we were the perfect couple but I guess things change and relationships change.

Alex: I'm no counselor or anything but maybe you should talk to him about trust.

Meredith: you think?

Alex: I don't know, why are you talking to me about this. Go talk to Cristina.

Meredith: haha she's too busy.

Alex: well if you want my advice, you Guys should work on trust.

Meredith: I agree. Uh, I guess it's time to fix things with him. Goodnight Alex.

Alex: night Mer.

Meredith drives home and walks in the door to see Derek sitting at the table with candles, steak and glasses of wine set up for two people.

Derek: Hey, Mer. I'm sorry for not telling you the truth. The truth is: I had a patient that I had an affair with before and she threatened to tell you about it. I didn't cheat on you, I swear. Jo heard it and I made her a deal to not tell anyone and she said I owe her. That's the truth.

Meredith: awe, Derek. Thanks for this. Thanks for finally telling me the truth. I'm not mad u did it I was mad you didn't tell me.

Derek: I'm sorry.

Meredith: it's fine.
