Danielle and Zayn: Sparks Fly

Dani shivered and ran from the bus stop to Starbucks. Her feet crunched the fresh snow on the ground as she walked in and sat down with her hot chocolate. It was pretty busy for this time of day. She sighed as she checked the time - it was almost time for her to get to school. It was about fifteen minutes away from where she was.

Suddenly she noticed five figures walk into Starbucks.

'IT'S ONE DIRECTION!' she thought immediately, but then laughed at herself. Why would One Direction be in a Starbucks - in Warrington of all places - at eight in the morning?!

However she couldn't get rid of the small flicker of hope that maybe it was them this time... maybe she would meet Zayn this time...

The five figures walked nearer to her.

"Hey, can we sit here?" one of the boys asked, judging by his voice it sounded like he was from Doncaster.

Dani looked up and froze.

One Direction were asking to sit with her! Louis Tomlinson had just talked to her!

She wanted to scream, but she wanted to run away at the same time. She looked at the boy standing next to Louis.

He had black hair and gorgeous brown eyes. Zayn caught Dani looking at him and she immediately turned away, blushing.

"Uhm... yeah... sure..." she mumbled. Dani was always shy when meeting new people, although once people got to know her they saw her funny, loud, outgoing side.

"Thanks," they smiled.

"So I'm guessing you know who we are, but what's your name?" asked Harry.

"D-Danielle," I told them. "But my friends call me Dani."

"Nice to meet you Dani," Zayn smiled.

I couldn't take my eyes off him. "Nice to meet you too..."

"So don't you have school today then?" Liam asked.

Dani's eyes widened as shr checked the time. "Shoot! I'm late!" she started to get up. "Nice meeting you guys, but I've got to go."

As she left Zayn stared after her. He made a split second decision to go after the beautiful girl with long black hair.

"Dani! Wait!" he called.

She turned and gave him a quizzical look.

"Can I drive you to school?" Zayn offered.

She smiled. Her smile lit up her whole face. "Thanks."

While Zayn drove Dani to school they got a chance to talk and get to know each other. She told him about her love of singing and songwriting and he told her about his life as a pop star. They both realised they had a lot in common.

As Zayn drew nearer to the school Dani sighed and couldn't help feeling disappointed. Zayn had always been her favourite out of One Direction and now that she'd got to know him she liked him even more.

"Well I've got to go..." she said, opening the door reluctantly.

Zayn couldn't hide the look of disappointment on his face. "Call me?"

"I don't have your number," Dani pointed out.

Zayn smirked. "I'm more sneaky than you think."

As she walked into the school Dani thought about what he had said and then checked her pocket. Sure enough there was a slip of paper with a phone number on it. She laughed.

"What are you so happy about then?" Katie, one of her friends, asked as she approached.

Dani just smiled secretively. "Nothing. It's just a nice day."

"YOU CAN'T CATCH ME!" I laughed, running away from Zayn.

I had called him after school and we were in the park.

"JUST YOU WAIT!" Zayn called from behind.

He chased her for a good five minutes before he finally caught her.

"Gotcha!" he smirked, picking her up.

Dani squealed. "ZAYN! PUT ME DOWN!!!"

"NEVER!!!" he laughed evilly.

A few seconds later he tripped on a tree root and fell forward, which also meant that Dani fell.

"Urgh..." she groaned. "Next time watch where you're going."

"No problem there," Zayn replied, getting up. "Are you okay Dani?"

When he said her name, Dani felt warm inside.

"I'm fine Zayn." She smiled.

Zayn slipped his hand into hers and she couldn't help but feel sparks, but she couldn't be sure if he could feel them too...

Suddenly they stopped walking.

"Dani... I need to tell you something..." Zayn started.

Dani froze. She knew what he was going to say. "You have a girlfriend don't you?"

Zayn stared at her, shocked. "What?! NO! That's not it at all!"

"Oh." Dani suddenly felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders and smiled. "Then what is it?"

Zayn took a deep breath. He knew that Dani may not feel the same way about him as he did about her, but thought 'Well I won't know until I try!' and said: "Danielle... I-I really like you... I mean, I know we've just met but there's something about you... whenever I'm near you - and I know this sounds really cheesy - but I feel sparks! I know you may not feel the same way about me but-"

"Are you serious?" Dani cut him off.

Zayn nodded, blushing.

Dani smiled. "I really like you too Zayn..."

Zayn's smile illuminated his face as he leaned in and kissed Dani. She responded by putting her arms round his neck kissing him back. Both of them saw sparks fly.
