Robyn and Louis: A Surf Lesson.

''Robyn. It's your turn now.'' her friend, Charlie told her. Robyn picked up her surf board and went splashing into the water.

Today was a surfing competition. And Robyn and her friend, Charlie had entered.

By now, Robyn was in the lead and Charlie was only four points behind her.

''There's a cute guy looking at you.'' Charlie told her as she got out of the water. Robyn glanced around. Charlie was right. There was a cute guy watching her. As she met his eyes he looked away.
Robyn laughed. ''He's cute.'' she said, smiling.

''Yeah. Oh he's coming over!'' Charlie said, looking away. Robyn rolled her eyes at her friend and looked up as the boy came over.

''Hi! You're very good at surfing!'' he said, smiling.

''Hey, yeah, I am.'' she grinned.

''I'm Louis.''

''Robyn. Nice to meet you.''

''I wish I could surf.'' Louis said. Robyn laughed.

''I'll teach you if you like.'' she offered. Louis' face lit up.

''Really?''

''Yeah. It'll be fun!'' Robyn said, enthusiastically.

''Cool! Thanks!''

''No problem. I'll have to do it after this though.''

''Oh yeah, sure.'' he smiled.

''Robyn. Your turn again!'' Charlie called. Robyn smiled at Louis and then ran into the water again.

She's starting to like Louis. She knew it.

Louis watched as Robyn's blonde head disappeared from view into the water. He sighed.

She was pretty. Tanned, blonde, lean and bubbly. Exactly what he liked in a girl.

''I'm still in the lead!'' Robyn yelled running up.

''You'll probably win if Claire doesn't get a full score.'' Charlie said, sipping juice.

They all waited anxiously for the result. Then they heard a voice in the Loud Speaker say:

''Winner: Robyn. Runner up: Charlie.''

Robyn screamed and jumped on Louis, hugging him in joy. She kissed him on his cheek and then stopped.

''Sorry. I shouldn't have done that.'' she said, going red.

''I don't mind.'' Louis grinned.

Then she went and collected her prize, along with Charlie.

''So, when can you teach me to surf like you?'' Louis asked her, smiling.

''We can meet up tomorrow if you want. I'll see you here in the afternoon, yeah?''

''Okay. What if you don't come? Can I have your number?'' he asked.

''I'll come. What if you don't come? Can I have your number?'' she replied. They laughed.

''We'll swap numbers, yeah?''

''Okay.'' she answered him, handing him a piece of paper. He writes his number down for her and she writes hers down for him.

''I'll look forward to tomorrow.'' he grinned.

''Me too. Don't forget your swimming costume.'' she joked.

''I won't.'' he laughed.

''I'd better go. See ya tomorrow Louis.'' she said, kissing him on his cheek again.

''Bye Robyn.'' he said as she left.

He was definitely looking forward to tomorrow.

A surf lesson. He laughed to himself. A surf lesson...Will be fun.
