''Caitlin! Let's go over here!'' her friends called to her. She followed them and gazed at the London Eye. She didn't want to go on there because she was afraid of heights.

''So, where shall we go now?'' she asked. The other girls grinned and winked at each other.

Caitlin was confused.

''What are you guys doing?'' she asked them. She glanced behind her at the pod of the London Eye and a group of five boys standing beside it.

When she turned back around, her friends took her by her arms and pulled her into the pod. She tripped and fell.

''Guys!'' she yelled. One of the boys, the one with short brown hair came running in and helped her up. Then she squealed as the doors closed and the pod jolted. She slid down to the ground and sat by the side.

''Are you Ok?'' he asked her, sitting down next to her.

''Yeah, totally fine, apart from the fact that I hate heights.'' she said.

''Oh...'' he said. Caitlin looked up and blinked.

''You're Liam from One Direction!'' she said. He nodded.

''Yeah. And you are?''

''I'm Caitlin.'' she said, slowly.

''Cool. So, your afraid of heights?''

''Yes. And my friends knew I was scared. I hate them sometimes.''

''Well. We'll be up here for at least an hour now, so I think we'd better do something to entertain ourselves.'' Liam said, smiling at her.

Caitlin sighed. ''I suppose so.'' she said.

''Okay. Tell me about yourself.''

''I'm Caitlin, I'm 18, I have auburn hair and blue eyes, as you can see, I love music and my favourite fruit are apples. I don't like heights, spiders or milkshake. To name a few things.''

''Okay.'' he laughed. ''Now you.'' she said.

''Okay. I'm Liam Payne. I'm a part of One Direction. I hate spoons and I like food and music. You probably know the rest.'' he grinned. Caitlin rolled her eyes.

''I'm not a die-hard fan who would stalk you. But-Aah!'' she screamed as the pod jolted, stopped and then started, stuttered and then came to a halt.

''Ohmygod! Ohmygod!'' Caitlin said, hanging onto Liam.

''Hey, it's Okay.'' he said, looking worried himself.

''I wanna get down!'' she cried.

''Ssh. It'll be alright! This way we have more time to get to know each other.'' he winked at her.

''We can get to know each other down there too. Just give me your number and we can meet up!'' she said, grinning.

''I was gonna give you it anyway. Can I have yours?'' he asked, hopefully.

Caitlin laughed. ''Sure.'' she handed him her phone and she took his. They swapped numbers and then sat down together and talked.

When Caitlin felt the pod start to move again, she found she was disappointed. She was surprised at herself. At first she didn't want to come on because she was afraid of heights but now, she wanted to stay on to spend more time with Liam.

She shook her head at herself and then leaned her head against Liam.

For once, she was happy to be suspended in the air, thousands of feet above the ground. She wouldn't be afraid of heights if Liam would be there to help her through it!
