I awoke roughly the next morning, extremely tired from the night before. I had a really hard time getting any sleep at all because my mind was swarming with the past events that have happened so suddenly. I grab some clothes and head towards the showers, hoping it'll wake me up and wash away the memories.
When I stepped out of the shower, I realize I took a longer shower than I was suppose to. I rapidly brush my hair and teeth and rush to get clothed so I won't be late for school. As I pulled up, I spotted Liam standing by the coffee shop with two cups in hand, looking around. I walk towards him and he hands me my usual cup of coffee and I return a smile as he grabs me in for a hug. I wasn't quite sure of our status, but part of me didn't want to know. I liked where we were at right now and I didn't want to mess anything up by asking. It was a rather hot day for it being fall, so we walked over to the bench under the tree and took a seat. We sat in silence, but it wasn't awkward silence, it was more peaceful, and I enjoyed it. Liam wrapped his arm around me and I laid my head on his chest as we watched people walking by. The school bell rang, which broke us from our peace. He stands up and takes my hand as he walks me to my first period, promising to meet me at the end of the day.
I walked in and sat in the back because I was a little late and didn't want to have eyes glaring at me. I felt kind of guilty since I never told Liam what happened last night. I mean, we weren't official or anything, but he has the right to know, right? I still haven't told him about Harry and I. He's too nice to deserve someone like me, I have to. I'll tell him...eventually.
As my last class got let out, I searched through the swarm of people, trying to find Liam. He had mentioned earlier that he had a question to ask and It's been bothering me all day. I feel a hand grab my arm softly, and I turn, only to find Harry is gripping my arm. My facial expressions turn from excited to mad in seconds.
"Kat, can I please talk to you?"
"No, I'm suppose to be finding Liam."
"Kat please, I-"
"Hey Kat!" Thank god Liam came to the rescue. "Oh, sorry, I didn't know you too knew each other." He says as he wraps his arm around my waist.
"He's in a few of my classes." I speak before Harry can mutter words.
"Oh, that makes sense. Well Harry, I'd love to stay and chat, but I have a special surprise for you, Kat." He smiles as he tickles my lower stomach. "We should hang out soon though, dude. I'll text you tomorrow, sound good?" Harry just gives him a smile and nod as he walks away from us.
"So what's your surprise?" I ask, trying to stop my worrying.
"That's for me to know, and you to find out! Around, like, 6:00, my place?"
"I'll definitely be there." I give him a warm smile and he returns it with a side hug and a kiss on my forehead.
I jump into my car and head back to the dorms, stopping at Taco Bell to grab some lunch first. I was starving, I completely forgot to eat breakfast this morning because I was rushing around, and all I had was coffee. I'm practically shoving the food down my throat during my drive back. I finally reach my room and I'm utterly exhausted. I flop on my bed and decide to take a short nap, setting my alarm to wake me up around 4 to get ready to go to Liam's. I was really
curious as to what he had in store, but before I could really think to what it would be, I was out cold.
My alarm went off and startled me. I roll over and let out a groan, still tired from sleep deprivation.
"Have a nice nap?" I hear Maddie say as she giggles at me. I just flip her off and she laughs again.
"Get up, lazy bum, you got plans tonight!" I was a little confused that she knew that, but then I remembered I had texted her telling her I won't be home for dinner. Tonight is usually out Chinese takeout night. I slowly sit up and stand to my feet and Maddie pulls me over to the closet.
