Chapter Six

Kevin Jacobs was staring at me hugging Mathew tightly. I don’t know where I got my strength from but when I saw his surprised look on his face, I closed my eyes and smiled as if I am enjoying this hug then I pulled away and kissed Mathew on the lips. I noticed that Matt was surprised but he kissed me back and seemed to enjoy it. When I looked back Kevin was gone, but I was sure he saw me kissing Mathew, I smiled to myself as I felt a tiny victory.

“It is nice to see you too Matt, we really need to talk” I finally said a word to the poor Matt after all the fake hugging and kissing.

“What’s wrong? Are you already breaking up with me? After all what we’ve had between us?” he said laughing and joking.

I laughed as I put my hand on his. “How can I forget what’ve shared, I can never let go of you!” I said playing along with him. We both laughed as he held my hand and kissed it before putting it back on the table.

“Matt you really are a nice man, so I must be honest to you, I owe it to you.” I mumbled as I looked down. “The fact is that I am in bad situation, I think I love someone that doesn’t love me back, so I asked Sofia to set me up with you in order to forget that man but when I got to know you better I felt really guilty for using you and I did not want do this to you…” I was talking fast and barely breathing I was so worried he would ditch me in this coffee shop and hate me for the rest of his life.

“Shhh…. Take a breath Tania, easy” he interrupted smiling. He really is always smiling, how can he have heard and understood what I said and still smile!

“I’m sorry but I’m really worried I'd hurt you, you really are a very nice guy.”

“I might not be as nice as you think, I can be really bad sometimes”, he grinned.

His answer made me smile even laugh, he really is awesome.

“I will help you” he snapped and took a sip from his coffee.

I widened my eyes in disbelief. What did he say? He would help me? How?

“W-what?” I stuttered.

“I will help you get over this stupid guy that doesn’t want this perfection” he said as he pointed his hands towards me.

“Wow Matt I really don’t know what to say! This is so sweet! Really! I am overwhelmed!” I said in astonishment, and then asked him “why are you doing this?”

“I am not marriage material Tania, even though I liked you and you blew my mind off, we will get to a dead-end, you will not be using me, on the contrary I will be doing you a favor, a good deed”. He grinned as he held my hand and kissed it again.

I expected everything but not this reaction from Matt, however I am perfectly fine with it. I told him that the man I love is my boss who happens to be Kevin Jacobs. I expected him to make fun of me knowing that there are at least half of the American girls are in love with this man. I also explained Matt how nice was Kevin when he first came and how he suddenly changed.

“Of course you will be following some rules if you want to get over this asshole the soonest,” he stated after I’ve said all I have.

“Well first of all you should stop calling Kevin names, he might be blind for not seeing me or stupid for not loving me back but I still love him.” I snapped at him angrily.

He laughed hard and hugged me tightly then said “You really can be aggressive sometimes, and over protective as well.”

“So what kind of rules you have in mind” I interrupted his sentence and his hug.
