I chased Winter as the small pup shrieked of laughter. "Jakey!" She screeched bolting for him. He turned and was knocked over onto the ground by her own strength. I was laughing hysterically before the two joined me. I was just so giggly today.
"Sorry beta." I picked up her small form as he pushed himself up. "Ready for tonight?" I nodded. Crescent had informed me that tonight was a full moon so everyone was on slight edge and with our plan of his birthday party, it was worse for us. "I hope everything goes as planned." I mumbled. I had the perfect plan of telling Bryce about the coming pup. It was also his birthday so it should make it better.
"I had already placed the spoons in the drawer so it is the first thing he will see." I nodded to Camilla's link. That was the beginning of the plan. We have set up in different locations, that Bryce goes to, baby things so he will slightly get the hint. Tonight is when we reveal it. Winter, and Camilla are the only ones who know about the baby, I mean besides Melissa who just already knew which I still don't really get but who does with that woman.
"I can't wait to see his shocked face..." Crescent whispered of joy. I let out a slight laugh as Jacob eyed me weirdly. "Sorry, Crescent is talking to me." I shrugged and he smiled. "For a second I thought you were planning something evil." I gave a smirk. His eyes glazed over and he looked in thought for a second before he let out a sigh.
"Well I've got to go, Bryce needs me to go get some things apparently," I nodded as he waved. We'll be back." I waved along with Winter as he then turned and left. Once he was out of view, I turned around and started walking towards the pack house. "Mama, Do you think it will be a boy or girl?" I smiled looking down at the pup in my arms.
"What do you want it to be?" She thought for a second. "I want a sister so we can party and dress up together." I chuckled as she giggled. "Maybe so, my darling." I opened the front door to be greeted by a messy house.
Winter clutched my jacket closer and I internally groaned. I stalked around the house holding my pup close. "Bryce?" I mumbled walking up the stairs. I heard another slam and flinched. A whimper slipped from Winter's mouth as I opened her bedroom door. It was still clean and untouched.
I set her down locking the door. "Do not leave this room, lock it, If you need me, mind link or yell." She nodded nervously as I opened the door. I closed it and heard the door click meaning she locked it. I followed the banging and it led to Bryce's office. The thing is, Bryce should be out with Jacob...
I hesitated as my hand hovered above the knob before I heard glass shattering. I opened it and peaked in to see the room trashed and a back turned to me. "Fuck!" My wolf growled inside me as the voice cursed. It wasn't our mates.
I stepped in and crossed my arms. The man kept digging through our stuff and I narrowed my eyes. "What are you looking for?" I finally asked. He swung around with a frightened shocked face. Then it was my turn as he smirked. "Hello Alpha Female."
"Jaxxson."
I heard a scream and I recognized it instantly. "Protect pup!" Crescent snarled. I agreed as I turned and slammed the door open bolting down the hall. "MOMMY!" I heard Winter sob. "LET GO OF MY PUP!" Crescent barked shifting instantly. She jumped onto a blond guy knocking him down. She picked Winter up by her shirt and growled at him.
My vision grew red as I set her down and she scurried behind my leg. I picked him up and swung him into the wall earning a crack from it. "Well done Amber." I heard his cackling voice and we snarled some more. "You got through one, How about more?" Suddenly they pounced from each direction and Winter let out a shriek of fear.
I picked my pup up and took a step back to be growled at and jumped at again. I then took my risks clutching her close hopping over the wolves and dashing for he window at the end of the hall. I burst through and made sure she didn't touch the glass as we landed with a thump.
