⚪️Two Years Later⚪️

I hummed while listening to some music. Mama gave me my own iPod. Just till I could prove I was old enough for a iPhone. Luke trotted into my room and right into his bed. He's gotten bigger and we started to realize he was more of a wolf than husky over the years. His fur started to change slowly. My parents didn't like that at all and are still cautious for some particular reason.

But I didn't care. I loved him and he loved me. He glanced at me and I smiled sweetly to him before I finished my homework question. I was in 5th grade now. It got harder but Mama says I am advancing highly. I'm on the honor roll. Anyways, I then heard the door bell ring and I knew who it was.

I smiled and hopped from my bed and down the stairs as Luke jumped up and soon followed me by my side. I opened the door with a smile on my face as I saw Cody's grinning face. "Hey C!" I said cheerfully. He grinned at me before pulling out a birthday bag. "Oh, you didn't need to get me a gift." I said nicely while he handed me the bag, and balloons.

"Your my number 1 girl! Its my job!" He declared and I giggled before walking into the living room and placing it with the other gifts. "So, Happy Birthday A!" He opened his arms and I hugged him. I heard a soft growl and I chuckled. "Still don't like me Luke? Don't worry. I am not Mr. Steal-Your-Girl."

Luke slightly relaxed but still glared. "Anyways, Cody, Thank you again." I smiled and hugged him once more. I was pretty small compared to Cody so I hugged his chest. "What would you like to do Birthday Girl?" He asked and I shrugged my shoulders. I honestly had no clue. "We could watch a movie?" He nodded before I smirked. He knew exactly what I was thinking and we raced down the basement stairs.

"Awe!" I moaned like a baby as Cody sat down and I fell on his lap. "You loose! Get the popcorn!" I groaned while getting up and stomping back up the stairs. "Cody stole your seat?" Mom asked as I stomped my way to the kitchen. "Humph!" I cross my arms as Cody nods while following me. I grabbed the popcorn before unwrapping it and putting it in the microwave. I pushed the popcorn button and sat on the counter as we waited.

"How long have you had Luke?" Cody asked breaking the silence as I looked down to see Luke sitting there watching Cody's every move. "4 years today." He nods and I rub Luke with my foot and he visibly relaxes, closing his eyes. I jumped off the counter as Cody went into the fridge to grab drinks. I poured the popcorn in the bowl and added cheese flavor. I turned around and saw Luke sitting up tail wagging and his head tilted while he had a doggy smile. "Nope!You cant have one." He whimpered and I didnt really like it when he whimpered so I sighed and grabbed his treats.

"Sit." He sat and his tongue laid outside of his mouth as he drooled at the sight of a bacon treat. "Shake ... Lay ... Roll ... Still ... Good Boy!" I put the treat on his nose and snapped as he quickly grabbed the treat. "A, Lets go.I started the movie." Cody's head peaked around the wall and I nodded before grabbing the popcorn and two Hershey's. Specifically, Almond Hershey and Cookies and Creme Hershey. I loved the Cookies and Cody liked the Almond.

I walked down the stairs and sat on the couch next to Cody and placed the bowl in between us. The movie started and I was more thinking than watching. I can't believe it, I'm 10. The years go by so fast. Wow. I sound like my mom. I changed so much. I saw baby pictures and trust me, I looked like a baby at the age of- 8! Yeah. I looked like a baby at 8. I still do-Since I am tiny. I mean, I barely grew any taller. "Earth to Amber."

I snapped out of my daze when I saw a hand go in front of my face. "W-What?" I asked and turned to Cody. "Are you okay?" I nodded while letting out a breath. Luke seemed to notice me doing this and sat up. He sat his head up on my knee and I gave a half smile before petting him.
