Doors opening is an invitation to a new start. It is hope we seek we need only to step through the door.

The little blondie scurries in front of Savanna as her dress flows from side to side avoiding contact with the trees.

"Chloe," she calls out stopping in the middle of an open space. Then she starts running until the reach a random log cabin in the middle of the woods. Savanna is about to knock on it but Ruth just barges in.

"Ruth, what are you doing here? Who is she?" A girl with black hair, pale skin, and blue eyes says. A woman is next to her they are sitting on an old torn red couch.

"Looking for you. Does your dad know you are here with your mom?" Ruth asks snarling at her and glaring towards the middle aged woman who looks high as a kite.

"Someone needs to feed her and she refuses to go to the shelter," she retorts wiping tears away.

"Well why didn't you just tell me," Ruth asks calmly.

"I thought you would tell on me," she says getting up, "Now who are you."

"I would never," Ruth says hugging her.

"Savanna your step-sister ran into me thinking I was you and I decided to help her look for you," Savanna pours out all at once.

"Is this where you go every time you disappear?" Ruth asks compassionately.

"Yeah that or to grab her some leftovers," she says timidly. Savanna realizes the woman looks vaguely familiar but she has no idea why.

"Why don't you tell your dad?" Ruth asks looking pitifully at the woman. Savanna slowly starts to walk out feeling pretty awkward.

"He would not do anything, he never wanted to help her. He did not even try to get her to rehab or a counselor he just pushed her away when he met your mom. I am Sara by the way, where are you going?" Sara questions before Savanna is nearly out the door and freezes. They all turn their heads toward her.

"Home," Savanna lies not knowing what else to say.

"Do you live around here?" Ruth asks innocently.

"In a way yes," Savanna says then darts out before she is questioned further. She zooms deep into the forest a direction she does not recognize until she trips over I lever not noticeable underneath the brush. Great another trap she thinks to herself as the net wraps around her.

"Again, seriously girl do you not see these things poking out," the man from before says except he is shaven.

"Sorry, I was running from a weird situation," she says as the man goes to release her again.

"Well, you got yourself in another one, where are your parents?" he says gently letting her down with the same pulley system.

"Why do you care?" she asks running off before she hears a response.

"Why are you out here alone?" she hears him yell. Alone that word has defined her for a while now.No one to hold her or care for her. The only reason she does not just end it because her mom would not want her to. Her mom gives her purpose to keep on living. These thoughts cross her mind as do memories of her loving mom embrace her as she just keeps running until she reaches an open wheat field.
She then pauses and looks all around her. No one has followed her out there so she is utterly alone except for the little mouse by her feet. However there is a nearby farm meaning there could be people who will find her but she cannot go back to the church and it is getting dark.
