"Alex?" I said aloud. I walked towards the center of the room where a guy stood-his back to me, dressed in a golden and black tuxedo. He turned around, there was a black rose in his handkerchief pocket. My heart skipped a beat as I saw that familiar smile light up.
"Ashley." he whispered. I nodded, smiling-a tear falling down my cheek. He embraced me in a hug. I started crying into his shoulder as we slowly moved across the room.
"I missed you so much! It's been like a whole month!" I said. "I thought you were never coming back!" The world dancing around us blurred as we danced with them.
"I know. I missed you too." I calmed down a bit. Our footsteps falling in union.
"How-why?"
"Well, I phoned your mom, I came on my private jet, she probably forced you to come to prom.."
"Where are you staying though?" Hadn't his parents sold their house when they moved?
"With you, surprise!" My eyes went big in the happiest shock ever.
"Best surprise ever!" I said, hugging him even tighter.
We were the last one's at the prom to leave and never did we once take our eyes off each other.
We walked through the door together.
"Surprise!" my mom said, rushing up to give me and Alex a hug. I smiled.
"Thanks, Mom." She smiled at me then turned to Alexander.
"Alex, your stuff is in Ashley's room-since we don't have a guest room and Grandma will be sleeping in the living room 'cause she's staying the night. I don't care what you two do up there as long as it's not-well, I won't go into detail." I blushed-totally embarrassed. Alexander laughed. "Don't worry Mrs. Smith. I promise we won't do that."
"Oooh! Respectful young man! You did good Ashley." Mom said. I blushed even harder.
We walked up the stairs into my room.
"Oh gosh that was embarrassing!" I said as soon I had closed the door behind us, my cheeks still a little pink. He chuckled. "What you laughing at Mr?" I teased, poking at his shoulder.
"You're so cute." he said still laughing. He sat down next to me on my bed. He put his hand on top of mine. He looked into my eyes, "Ash, you mean the world to me and I will never leave you again." I hugged him.
"Thank you," I looked back up at him, "I love you too." I said. Alexander leaned towards me, his lips touched mine. I closed my eyes-enjoying the blissful moment. His hand came up to the back of my head, his thumb right behind my ear. Our lips parted as he pulled me closer and I knotted my hands into his hair. We stayed that way for a long while. He let go, finally letting us breath. "I'm going to find a place for you to sleep." I said.
"I thought we'd share." he replied. I felt my cheeks go pink.
"W-Well, mom said-..."
Now it was his turn to become pink. "..-Oh-no, I didn't mean that, I-err, just thought.."
"Oh!" I said, laughing as he joined me. "Well, I can at least get some extra blankets." I said walking to my closets-remembering the skateboard.
"Guess what!" I told Alexander.
"What?" he asked.
"I got a surprise for you! You have to close your eyes first though." I told him. He closed his eyes and I took out the skateboard.
"Ok," I said, "open them!" His eyes flickered open and a smile busted out on his face as he saw what it was.
"Wow, Ashley! I love it! When'd you get it?"
