Chapter 3*
I woke up at 7:00 in the morning and took a shower then I got dressed. I walked over to my car
and drove to school, it was about 10 minutes to get to school from my house. I volunteer to help
the deaf section in our school and a I took Sign Language as a course. I go to Burnaby South
Secondary School for the Deaf so I wanted to take it and it also helps me interpret for other people.
I parked my car and went in. I went up to my locker and saw that it had a wallpaper and there's
something written on it: "BYE KIM ARI" in big letters. My eyes widened and I thought {How did
they Know?!!!} Then I heard a classroom door open near my locker and all my friends came out
including Ivy. I shouted, "Ivy! Victoria! Karen! Anna! Lianne! Seldon! and all my other friends that
are too many to say. People started hugging me and giving me tiny gifts. I hugged them all back
and said thank you. The bell rang and we went to our first period then the class started. People
were giving me tiny notes and saying goodbye. The rest of the period went by till lunch. Ethan, the
one who has a crush on me gave me a pin and kissed me on the cheek. That was a surprise but
I didn't really like him back. When it was the end of school I had to clean my locker and I ripped
my pictures off of it, thats when it hit me. I am never going to see these people who have been
important to me. They made me feel happy and not alone, like I had my family. I started to cry by
then. Ivy went up to me and hugged me. "Hey Ari its okay, were still be in contact with each other!
Calling, Facebook and Skype! I'll do it every night. Just tell you that I'll sleep fast." I had to smile
at that, Ivy really was my best friend, a sister from another mother. I hugged her back tightly
and said, " Ivy thanks for being there when I had no one. Thanks you for making everyday fun and
have my back during problems." Ivy replied, "of course Ari! Aren't you my best friend in the whole
wide world?! And you ALWAYS will be." I pulled out the box I brought a long time ago knowing
that this day would happen. It was a promise necklace, not just a "BFF" necklace but a promise
that we'll be friends no matter what and our bond will never be broken. It was a silver necklace that
was in a shape of an infinity ring and behind it was the word "Sisters forever" Ivy said it was
beautiful and that she'll keep it. I went home because I got a call from secretary Yoon.
