Is Everything Alright?

An unexpected visit

We were driving at 60 mph just to get to the company on time. I was frantically putting my shoes on when I noticed that Young Do was driving barefooted. I bursted out laughing. "What the heck? How are you driving?!" I said between giggles. He faced me and replied, " You think this is funny? My feet are scorching hot!" I then reached for his socks in the back of the car. "Lift one of your foot up." I suggested. He looked at me like I'm crazy. "Look, you won't have time to put this on because when we get there we're gonna have to run. " I explained. When I finished putting his shoes on for him,  We were ten minutes away from the hotel. I fixed his hair with my comb and I tied my hair up in a bun. I started reviewing the files for the meeting and started telling Young Do about the plan. We arrived and hurried inside the building 5 minutes late. We headed towards the elevator but it took too slow so we headed for the stairs. Young Do swept me off my feet and started carrying me upstairs. He looked like he was dying by the the time we got to the meeting room with the CEO of the company and the realtor. We headed inside just to see Yoo Rachel talking with the CEO. Just what in the hell is she doing here? Confused and annoyed, Young Do grabbed her wrist and pulled her aside. I could hear him hiss at her, "Why the hell are you here?! Dad left me to handle this. Not you. And just to be clear, you only have power because your mom married my dad." Yoo Rachel brushed him off and headed to me. She stood beside me and whispered into my ear, " I did the company work for you because I know you couldn't do it." She then handed Young Do the plan and said, "My mom is in this deal as much as your dad and also I just did my fiancé a little favor. See you soon oppa and future sister in law." She headed outside and we talked to the CEO just to confirm what we actually wanted from the deal. After a small talk the CEO asked us to leave and wished us a good rest of our vacation. Before we could step outside the room, we heard him say, "that illegitimate child is as useless as they say.. Aigoo.. When is Won when you need him." Young Do was about to head inside and confront him but I squeezed his hand motioning for him to stop. I headed to the nearest washroom and turned on the faucet to wash my face. Then stared at the mirror with the CEO's comment echoing my head. Just as I was gonna wipe my face with my handkerchief, one of the washroom's stall door opened and I saw Yoo Rachel walking up to me. She said, " Why? Are you embarrassed? The CEO never wanted to talk to you anyways. He said he doesn't trust an illegitimate child like y-" "stop right there Yoo Rachel." I replied. "Why are you denying it? And you never did get into the families business.. With your gold digger mom latching on your dad for money.. No wonder no one trusts the likes of you. I'm surprised he even trust-" I slapped her right across the cheek. "How dare you talk about my family like that! My mom a gold digger? I could say the same about yours! And as for me being an illegitimate child, I never asked to be born and so did Tan!" She flinched and shouted, at least my mom is better than yours! She didn't use her children to get money! And don't you dare get close to Young Do because when me and Tan get married, the family will get complicated... You don't want that do you? Maybe you can just be his mistress like your mother!" I slapped her again and we got into a fight. I was grabbing her hair when Young Do ran inside and saw us. He pulled me off Rachel and ushered me outside. He placed his jacket around my shoulders and headed back inside the washroom. Within minutes, I got stares and whispers from other people. One lady whispered, " Ya, isn't that Kim Ari? The illegitimate daughter of Jeguk empire's CEO? Aigoo .. What a trouble maker she is.." As soon as I heard those words, tears welled up my eyes. Yoo Rachel then came running out and headed to the entrance with her cheeks bright red. Young Do came up behind me and placed his arms on my waist, hugging me tightly. We headed to the car, surrounded by people's stares and gossips. He helped me inside and buckled my seatbelt.  I didn't care where we were going, I was too occupied on worrying how my dad will react to what happened earlier. Young Do looked at me with worry in his eyes and we sat down in silence as I held his hands for comfort. We pulled into a restaurant near the sea. He opened the car door for me and unbuckled the seatbelt. He took my hand and we headed inside. We sat farthest away from the other costumers as he ordered his 'usual' which was jjampong and 2 bottles of soju. He poured me a shot and suddenly said, "Yoo Rachel.. She is marrying Tan soon right?" I nodded not having the strength to reply. He took another shot and continued,  "What if we stop that wedding from ever happening?" I looked up at him in awe. He then said, "You know, she doesn't deserve a guy like Tan. He's never gonna be happy being with her for the rest of his life." "What do you mean stop her?.." I asked. " You know he loves Eun Sang right? I've never seen him that happy before. And I know that your parents will do everything they can to separate them." He stared at me, waiting for a reaction on this. I responded with, "and Tan won't have the power to fight back and go against our dad." I took a shot of soju and said, You know Young Do, that was my plan and the reason why I came to Korea. It was to stop Yoo Rachel from ever marrying Tan. But the plan has been delayed because of a certain someone." He smirked and we started brainstorming ideas on how to bring Yoo Rachel down and help Eun Sang . We also promised each other to help Tan and Eun Sang whenever my father tries to separate them.  We were headed to the hotel, driving a little tipsy when I got a call. I answered it and slurred a hello. When I heard the voice, my stomach dropped. Im gonna do everything I can to stop Yoo Rachel  from marrying Tan as soon as possible.
